Open Post: Hosted By This Bear Politely Waving

Viralhog on YouTube had this short, sweet vid of a bear at a wildlife park waving to a couple in a car. It’s pretty heartwarming. It’s also nice that the bear probably already ate that day and that the couple isn’t one of those idiots hanging out of their car with food to get a better video. People do that!

Here’s what the videographer has to say:

“My husband and I were on vacation in Washington state in early October and decided to go to a wild animal park. We were filming all the animals in the park and when we got to one of the bears I said hi and this bear waved back and was smiling.

He looks so cuddly. Sure, he could take your head off with one swipe of his paw but he looks fat and content and might even be open for hugs. And as for the luring animals to the car with food thing, that’s a true story. An acquaintance thought it would be a good idea to put some food on the hood of his car whilst driving through a safari-type thing. It turns out monkeys LOVE Egg McMuffin scraps! And they won’t get off the hood of your car until the zookeepers have to pull you over and lure them off your hood before you try to leave the park driving a car covered in wildlife. *shakes head*
