David Crosby Either Angrily Left Or Was Thrown Out Of A Podcast Interview

July 21, 2019 / Posted by:

60s folk-rock icon David Crosby (The Byrds, Crosby, Stills & Nash, etc.) is one of those Keith Richards-level music immortals who everyone wonders how they’re still operating on this plane of existence with what they’ve done with their bodies over the years. Dude’s current issues, according to the New Yorker, include “eight stents in his heart, diabetes, hepatitis C, and a transplanted liver.” It’s commonly acknowledged that he’s not going to be around for much longer. So it’s understandable that he might be a little cranky. The Hollywood Reporter’s Scott Feinberg recently discovered this while interviewing Crosby, 77, for THR’s Awards Chatter podcast to promote Cameron Crowe’s new documentary on Crosby, David Crosby: Remember My Name.

Showbiz 411 says that the interview started off normally, with Feinberg noting that he might be asking Crosby questions that he’s been asked a jillion times seeing as he’s been around so long that he knew Jesus. Crosby says that it’s ok. Then he appears to decide it’s not.

For the first 25 minutes or so, Crosby seems ok. But then he suddenly turns on Feinberg. He gets very angry and declares, “This is stuff you can read in books!”

Crosby is so irked by Feinberg that he calls him a “dipshit.” According to Just Jared, Feinberg began to take offense.

The interview ended after David told Scott, “You’re kind of a dumb guy, you know that?”

“Well, I can understand why some of these other guys have a problem with you. If you don’t wanna do it, don’t do it. But don’t come here and insult me,” Scott said in response.

It sounds like Crosby up and walked out. But Feinberg later tweeted that he tossed his ass out for being ornery and suggesting reading material in such a salty way.

And he kept it up cuz’ how else are you going to hear about his podcast?

He was talking about this retweet from Crosby.

It reads like David Crosby isn’t long for this world, which has got to be a scary sitch for anyone of life. We’d all be cranky. Impending death should mean you can flip off puppies, and slap Disney characters, as well as telling podcast interviewers that they’re “dipshits.” It should be a law. You can listen to the interview here.
