Aretha Franklin Stuns With New Slimmer Body
When it comes to icons, there is no one more bad ass or legendary than the Queen of Soul (and shade) Aretha Franklin. Unfortunately, some health concerns have limited her ability to perform since last year and earlier this year she revealed that after 2017 she’ll be hanging up her sparkly titty dresses and no longer touring. So what does an icon do to celebrate her last year killing the game? She loses a ton of weight to remind you hoes that she always comes to slay.
Aretha stunned her fans during a recent concert at Virginia’s Wolf Trap National Park with her slimmer appearance. Check this out!

Now, you can say what you want to about Aretha, but what you’re NOT gonna do is deny the fact that this sistah has remained in the spotlight consistently since the 1960’s. Hello Beautiful posted the following picture (via Upscale Magazine’s Instagram page) showing The Queen looking like an OG 1970’s madam, gripping a few stacks in one hand while rockin’ a prototype wig from the Cookie Lyon collection at Ross.
Hello Beautiful went on to say:
“After an illnesses (sic) sidelined her from a number of shows last year and this summer, Aretha emerged on stage over the weekend looking like a new woman. Fans gave her a warm welcome back as she launched into one of her hits, showing her voice hasn’t changed a bit!”

Well, that settles it. I guess it’s time for me to go into full stalker mode and find out where she’ll be touring this year, because I’ma need to see her before she hangs up her wigs to settle into retirement with the rest of the Early Bird special crowd. Actually, maybe I’ll find out which Denny’s is closest to her and get a job there in hopes of running into her. All seniors love a good Grand Slam at a discounted rate, right?
