Kelly Osbourne Hid A Lyme Disease Diagnosis Because She Didn’t Want To “Play The Victim”
Kelly Osbourne has an upcoming memoir called There Is No F*cking Secret: Letters From a Badass Bitch, which would be why she’s doing the “Come children, hear my story” pose on the cover of UsWeekly. As you can tell from the bright yellow letters, Kelly talks about being an addict (she’s been sober for eight years). She also talks about being diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2014. The reason you’re just hearing about Kelly’s Lyme disease diagnosis now is because she didn’t want to work it for sympathy and fame.
Kelly says she was bitten by a tick 13 years ago after her Sharon Osbourne surprised Ozzy Osbourne with a backyard reindeer sanctuary for his 56th birthday. For ten years Kelly claims she was mysteriously ill with sore throats and stomach aches. She also had a seizure on the set of Fashion Police in 2013. Doctors initially diagnosed her with epilepsy. They threw pills, like Ambien and various painkillers, at her. She was eventually on so many drugs, she got to the point where she was feeling like a zombie and decided to see a specialist.
In 2014 she saw an alternative medical practitioner who treated her brother’s MS, and they discovered it was stage III neurological Lyme disease. Kelly says she then flew to her doctor’s clinic in Germany, where she was cured with two weeks of stem cell therapy.
Kelly says she didn’t publicly talk about having Lyme disease for two reasons. One, she claims she didn’t want Big Pharma coming after her for not using antibiotics to treat Lyme. Two, because she didn’t want to glamorize it, like some famous people with Lyme disease.
“It seems like the trendy disease to have right now, and I’m tired of seeing sad celebrities play the victim on the cover of weekly mags. Since I know firsthand how awfully debilitating it is, I know who really has it and who is just trying to prolong their 15 minutes. I don’t understand how anyone could think that the life you have to live with Lyme disease is glamorous.”
Hmmm…I wonder who Kelly could be talking about? I wonder.
About Kelly’s claim that she knows who really has Lyme disease and who is faking it for attention. People who are faking Lyme for attention should beware. Eventually you will run into Kelly Osbourne, and she will blow your cover. I bet she can smell it on you. Does it smell like limes? I don’t know. It doesn’t matter. The point is, you can’t fool the purple-haired Lyme faker hunter.
