Open Post: Hosted By Anthropologie’s $100 Busted Down, Rusty Trash Can

Most of us look at that picture and see the jacked-up, janky trash can that our mom refused to replace with a plastic one because it works just fine! But the wrecks at Anthropologie look at that picture and see a “West Village Corrugated Can.”

Oscar the Grouch is the ultimate hipster, because he was living in a busted, worn out metal trash can before they went mainstream. If you’re so rich that you just love throwing $100 bills into the trash, why not instead use one of those $100 bills to buy this trash can made of locally sourced tin that’s been stained with authentic dog piss and aged by a bunch of genuine trash men who pounded it on the cement for a few minutes. Anthropologie is selling this mess for $99.95 (that’s a bargain since it used to be $148) and you can get it with a “mango wood” handle or an “abaca rope” handle. I didn’t make that part up.

And I can’t wait until Anthropologie sells add-on accessories like grass-fed rats imported from Austria, used condoms with organic jizz leaking out and vomit-scented incense sticks.
