Open Post: Hosted By Dolly And Young Dolly

NBC made a deal with an angel earlier this year when they hooked up with rainbow in a wig Dolly Parton and agreed to make movies based on her songs. The first movie they’re making is based on “Coat Of Many Colors” and it stars Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland as Dolly’s mom, Ricky Schroder as Dolly’s dad, Gerald McRaney as Dolly’s pepaw and 8-year-old Alyvia Lind as young Dolly. The movie has been described as an anti-bullying tale that covers 9 months in the life of young Dolly. It sounds like some Hallmark Hall of Fame shit, but I’ll still watch it since will watch anything that Dolly is involved in. I even watched Joyful Noise. That’s real devotion.

Dolly was at the TC Summer Press Tour in L.A. yesterday to talk about “Coat Of Many Colors” and to also announce that the next movie NBC is producing is based on that legendary home wrecker “Jolene.” (I nominate Elizabeth Berkley as Dolly and Gina Gershon as Jolene.)

Before Dolly dusted the eyes of TV reporters and critics with her sparkly beauty, she posed for pictures with Alvyia. I know we already knew this, but now we have proof. One of Dolly’s chichis is bigger than a child’s head.
