Open Post: Hosted By A Gender-Swapped “Blurred Lines” Video

July 23, 2013 / Posted by:

Because “Blurred Lines” is this summer’s “Call Me Maybe,” everybody’s doing a parody of that shit and here’s another one from the Seattle boylesque troupe Mod Carousel. Before I hit play on this, I thought I was going to get chicks in suits dancing next to a bunch of hot, naked, makeup-less dudes. But instead of hard peen, I got painted up man lips. Mod Carousel explained their concept like this:

It’s our opinion that most attempts to show female objectification in the media by swapping the genders
serve more to ridicule the male body than to highlight the extent to which women get objectified and does everyone a disservice. We made this video specifically to show a spectrum of sexuality as well as present both women and men in a positive light, one where objectifying men is more than alright and where women can be strong and sexy without negative repercussions.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, but what I really want to know is when are the glittery gays in this video going to swap with the naked chicks in Robin Thicke’s video. Because I really want to see Pharrell Williams grind up next to the twink who is serving up some Annie Lennox circa 1986 glamour.
