Sam Smith Split With That Guy From “13 Reasons Why”
Sam Smith may hate Grindr and platters filled with waffles, but it appears he now has reason to use both! Even though Sam has been hot-n-heavy aardvark-kissing up on 13 Reasons Why actor Brandon Flynn for the last few months, it appears they called it quits last week – and one of them has the Instagram deleting to prove it.
The Sun says Sam erased a lot of the photos of him and Brandon together from Instagram last night, and we all know nothing screams like a trick scorned like social media banishing. I went to see if Brandon was equally as petty, but he still has a bunch of them up…and is even flaunting on his story how he’s in Sam’s home country and devoured a full English breakfast today. It’s a good thing Sam wasn’t there, or that tray of beans, eggs, and funky sausages would have made it to his Instagram story with a bunch of poop and vomit emojis.
While I wish we could know who cheated on who or what was the passive aggressive comment that broke the camel’s back, a source is using the go-to breakup line for all celeb couples:
“…they are both so busy with their careers and unfortunately things just haven’t worked out.Sam is obviously devastated. This is the most significant relationship he has ever had.”
Sam might have a tour to distract him at the moment, but I don’t really know what Brandon is doing that keeps him from devoting all his time to Sam. Call me a bad gay feminist, but I’d be more than willing to give up my job to be a tour cabana boy and just support my singing boyfriend while I get manicures backstage and watch Wendy Williams.
It was only last month that Sam and Brandon were traipsing around London to see Harry Potter And The Cursed Child and having dates in parks. Brandon had even introduced Sam to his parents as “my 401(k).” Kidding! I think! Anyway, this will surely do wonders for the dude whose career is built on songs about heartbreak and unrequited love. I just can’t wait for him to accept a Grammy for the next album and piss off half the room by saying he’s the first gay man to win for writing a breakup song!
