Mariah Carey Might Have Had Gastric Sleeve Surgery

The Angel of Christmas (and the latest accused sexual harasser), Mariah Carey, is really shaking things up and cleaning house in the lead up to her big holiday. She must have really been shook from last year’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest disaster because not only has she parted ways with her manager, Page Six reports that she’s taken a drastic step towards a physical transformation as well.

According to Page Six:

Page Six has exclusively learned that the diva underwent gastric sleeve surgery last month, performed by a top surgeon in Beverly Hills, Calif., after her weight reportedly skyrocketed.

A source told us of Carey, “Mariah has always been proud of her curves, but this summer, as her Caesars Palace residency came to a close, and then she went on tour with Lionel Richie, she noticed it became harder to dance, and she was getting a lot more criticism online from body shamers.”

Entertainment Tonight notes that Mariah was looking slimmer than she has in a while at her recent hand and footprint ceremony at TCL Chinese Theater.

A second source tells ET that Carey, who feels “much better about herself” now, adding, “this is a new beginning for her.”

If true, we may be seeing a brand new Mariah by 2018. Gastric sleeve surgery is scary as hell though. I’m also worried because I think you are not supposed to have carbonated drinks when you have a tiny sleeve tummy because it might explode. Mariah without her champers is like Britney without her Cheetos.
