Pete Davidson Explains Why He’s Been Sort Of Missing From SNL

If you watch Saturday Night Live, then in between laughing at Melissa McCarthy’s (unappreciated by some) Sean Spicer and Kate McKinnon’s alien abduction lady, you might have noticed that the youngest SNL cast member, Pete Davidson, hasn’t really been on the show lately. The come to life Hey Arnold character appeared during Alec Baldwin’s monologue on the February 11th show. But other than that, we haven’t seen a lot of him. 23-year-old Pete recently took to Instagram to explain why he’s been MIA from the show.

As it turns out, he’s been getting sober.

His “girl” is actually Larry David’s daughter Cazzie David. I hope Pete got a “pretty…pretty…pretty good for you” after he announced his sobriety to his girl’s dad.

Pete has joked many times about his love of smoking weed. He even credited medical weed with helping him control his Crohn’s disease and getting him on SNL. But he didn’t say if he’s quit medical marijuana or not.

As for taking time off from SNL, Pete shouldn’t worry about it. I think there might be a couple white dudes in the cast who could fill in for him? If that’s not possible, they should give Lorne Michaels a short brown wig and a hoodie and get him to talk about young people things. My vote is for that option, if only because I want to hear an old millionaire like Lorne Michaels explain in his Dr. Evil voice what he thinks young people are into. “Don’t you just hate it when bae forgets to Snapchat your favorite caviar? It is not lit, fam.
