Matt Damon Almost Shed Tears When George Clooney Told Him About The Twins

George and Amal Clooney are still LARPing as our generation’s JFK and Jackie. And that means the clock has started on the non-stop baby news. As we know, Amal is pregnant with twins (which is SO in right now). George’s friend Matt Damon is starting to do press for The Great Wall just as the news of the Clooney twins broke. Matt told Entertainment Tonight Canada that he knew about the twins waaaaay before everyone else did, and he almost cried. Probably because he knew the end of the world is upon us now we’ve seen the final sign of the apocalypse (aka the news that George Clooney is going be a father).

This is what Matt said to ET Canada:

“I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him. And I was like, ‘how far along is she?’ And he goes, ‘eight weeks.’”

‘Are you out of your mind?! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t you know the 12-week rule?’ Like of course he doesn’t. I was like, ‘just shut up, man.’ And then four weeks later, I’m like, ‘we’re good right?’”

Matt, being the bragger that he is, told the same story to Natalie Morales on Today and also said that George is going to be a great dad and the twins are lucky and blah blah blah…

InTouch Weekly is also hearing that Amal is pregnant with one boy and one girl, but you can take that with an entire salt lick since it’s InTouch.

I’m crossing my fingers that Beyonce also has a boy and a girl so she can continue to pull the ole’ fame rug out from underneath anyone and everyone who stands in her way. On second thought, nevermind. They’ll probably just all vacation together in Lake Como, walking around looking smug and giving interviews about how they’re so “blessed” but twins are a real “handful.” Not that I could write these press releases in my sleep or anything…
