Taylor Swift Surprised A 96-Year-Old Swifty Fan For Christmas

Taylor Swift just managed to dispel my long-held belief that all her fans are 13-year-old girls. Sure, most of them are. But apparently there’s a 96-year-old pepaw out there who shakes his replacement hips to Shake It Off. And today he’s making all the other senior Swifty fans at Shady Pines jealous.

On December 26, Taylor visited a 96-year-old WW2 veteran named Cyrus Porter. Cyrus’ grandson posted a bunch of videos of Taylor surprising Cyrus at their family’s house in New Madrid, Missouri. UsWeekly says that Taylor found out about Cyrus after his love of Taylor was profiled on a local news station last week. Jaime King better watch out, because Cyrus is coming for her titles of Biggest Taylor Fan. Cyrus says he’s known for two things: being a WW2 veteran and loving Taylor Swift. Cyrus has seen Taylor twice in concert with his daughter and two of his grandkids, driving more than two hours to see her each time. His daughter says he danced his 96-year-old ass off at both concerts.

When Taylor found out about Cyrus, she decided to drop off a Swiftmas gift in the form of a visit from Taylor Swift. Cyrus looks thrilled! Sorry, whoever gave Cyrus a pair of socks and a gift certificate to Old Country Buffet, but your gift totally just got pushed under the couch.

Popo Cyrus even got a little living room concert too for himself and almost 60 of his closest relatives.

Since Taylor’s friend collection could really use a touch of grey, I wonder if she initiated Popo Cyrus into her squad. We’ll only know for sure if next July we see some professionally-staged pictures of Cyrus in a pair of red, white, and blue swim trunks floating in pool with Karlie Kloss on an inflatable recliner.
