Leah Remini Quit Scientology

Here I was thinking that Leah Remini was one of the more hardcore Scientologists and would hit you in the froat with an E-meter can if you talked crap about it, but I guess not. The New York Post says that Leah Remini woke up from the barley haze and quit Scientology for good. A source says that Leah took her Thetans and left, because she doesn’t like how Scientology’s head queen David Miscavige (which I always read as “David Miscarriage“) treats Scientologists and Sea Org members. When even Leah Remini thinks your ass is crazy, it’s time to throw your beliefs away and sink into a tub full of anti-crazy pills.

Tony Ortega, the former editor-in-chief of The Village Voice who has become of Scientology’s biggest arch rivals, reported a few days ago that after being a Scientologist for over 25 years, Leah has slowly been stepping away from the crazy and finally made a break for it. Tony wrote that during Tommy Girl and Katie Holmes’ wedding in 2006, which Leah was a guest at, she asked where David Miscarriage’s wife Shelly was. Shelly hasn’t been seen in public for years. One of Scientology’s media handlers snapped at Leah and told her that she didn’t have the “fucking rank” to ask that. After the wedding she wrote a complaint letter to the head whores at Scientology.

Leah complained about David Miscarriage’s management skills and added that she didn’t like that Scientology’s media handler Tommy Davis lied when he told the press that church members aren’t told to kiss off any relatives who leave Scientology. After she filed her complaint, Leah was sent to Scientology’s “Flag Land Base” in Clearwater, FL and was interrogated while hooked up to an e-meter. Leah was then told to take back her complaints and she was put through “modification” for five years. Some of Leah’s Scientology friends (KIRSTIE ALLEY, YOU BITCH!) turned their backs on her and her entire family was investigated. Leah had enough and quit that bitch. The Post’s source said:

“It all began when Leah questioned the validity of excommunication of people. She is stepping back from a regime she thinks is corrupt. She thinks no religion should tear apart a family or abuse someone under the umbrella of ‘religion.’ She’s from Brooklyn. The church can’t hurt her . . . they don’t have her family, that’s all that matters to her. It’s not about wanting or not wanting to do Scientology . . . The issue is that [Miscavige] is taking down this church and hurting people and families.”

Scientology denies that Leah Remini is done with them, but of course they’re going to deny it.

I was sifting through Leah’s Twitter today and she’s been hinting that she left Scientology by re-tweeting quotes like this one:

When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. – Viktor Frankl

That quote was actually cut off. Viktor Frankl went on to say, “And if the situation involves Scientology, RUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNN and take Juliette Lewis with you….. and Elisabeth Moss too!”
