Open Post: Hosted By The Weed Wedding

This Nevada couple really like the herb. They like it so much, that they got married in a cannabis grow dispensary on Saturday. Saturday was also the day recreational marijuana sales were legalized in Nevada.

KNTV gave us footage of the (first ever?) wedding at a marijuana dispensary. Mark Balfe-Taylor married wife Anna Balfe-Taylor smack dab in the middle of a veritable forest of marijuana plants. He’s a doctor and marijuana activist, and she’s just fun! No word on whether or not the bride wore hemp or if her new mom-in-law partook of the purple kush during the reception.

The groom and bride said they were sober at their wedding (really?), and had the ceremony there to support Nevada’s new marijuana laws. The groom’s dad was once jailed on a weed charge, and it’s a cause close to their ~~bongs~~ hearts. That was probably the most fun wedding ever. Laid back, lots of laughs, and little to no drunken brawls. The only problem is that all of the cocktail hour appetizer trays probably didn’t make it past the tables you seat your unwelcome relatives at near the kitchen. Watch below!
