But Does He Slay Vampires Too?
Last year, a picture made the rounds of Daniel Day-Lewis eating a salad while showing us what it would look like if Abraham Lincoln co-founded Apple and invented the iPhone that picture was taken on. Well, here's an official picture of DDL in full Lincoln drag in Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, which comes out in November and also stars Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln. DDL looks more like Lincoln than that creepy animatronic Lincoln in Disneyland's Hall of Presidents. You just want to scream at that picture, "DON'T SIT THERE! GO TO THE BATHROOM! GET SOME FRESH AIR! THIS PLAY SUCKS ANYWAY! GET A KARDASHIAN TO FILL YOUR SEAT!"
And I know Lincoln is supposed to be getting into the play, but those slightly rolled eyes to me that he's rolling his second blunt.

I loved DDL in "A Room with a View" He was brilliant in that film. It was also the last time that Helena Bonham Carter looked lovely.
WTF is this garbage from Spielbergers? Lincoln did not spend all day at Mitzi's Salon getting his hair tinted the right shade of gray. Lincoln did not look the amused picture of well-fed health on the day of his death. He looked like death itself before the bullet. Spielbergers needs to just stop.

I love that Geico commercial where they ask, "Was Honest Abe a little too honest?" and MTL asks, "Does this dress make my bottom look large?" and he's like, 'Urmmmm..." and she huffs off.
I cannot wait to see Sally Field break out the crazee as MTL. She was really a bundle of nerves, a real whackdoo. Modern antidepressants could have helped her immensely.

@ peep - That scene creeped me out. I thought his performance was stellar but I found the movie weak and very boring overall.
DDL nailed it.
DDL is great in everything. Love the scene in There will be Blood where he beats that fool with a bowling pin.
AL is sexy enuf but with DDL playing him, well it will be simply orgazmic!

He's brilliant. Hated Gangs of NY and that dumb There Will Be Blood, but loved DDL in both movies.
Did anyone see the Vampire Slayer movie? I am waiting for it to come to cable.
This has the potential to be good, given Day-Lewis is one of the few talented actors left in Hollywood, but Spielberg's involvement skeers me.
