I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your animal friend. It's such a hard thing to go through to make the choice to put them down (even when you know that it's the very best thing to do for the animal) And it's not so bad when the animal is put down at home where they feel comfortable. I hope you feel better soon.. I know it's heartbreaking.

She went peacefully, and her pain is over. The Dr said she was severely anemic, among other things, and it were going to get much worse for her.
She is at peace, and we will miss her dearly. xo

Oh, PSL so sad about your fur baby, lots of hearts coming your way, I take care, love and nurture a ton of strays, approx 15, most have become my pets, all have names, adore them, cater to them, and pretty much live to please them, three died tragically, one had to be put down two years ago, that pain is incredibly intense, my only puppeh is the love of my life....I will lose my mind of sho when her time comes. On a happier note that kitteh is all kinds of sexy....

I'd leave my husband if he was allergic to kittayyy! You should try a light colored female cat and keep her fur washed (or at least wiped down with a baby wipe) once a week. His allergies shouldnt be a problem then.

I was crying look at the pics last night. I am going to need a tranquilizer when it's time for my Miss Kitty to go. Thoughts are with you and kitty's family today :(
I'll probably need to be put in a rubber room when my baby goes. I keep filming him as much as possible so that I can remember him always but, then, I wonder if that's unhealthy to not let go? Like it might torture me rather than comfort me? I don't know. I figure, I'll film him and take pictures and if I ever need to 'go there', at least those memories will be there for me if I want them.
Jesus. This is making me cry and I need to get work done.

Thanks guys....she lives in a house I babysit. My nights there will not be the same without her laying in my legs while I read....
They are having someone come to the house this morning at 10, and doing in the backyard where she loves to be outside....I am glad it won't be in a vet's office, which can be so scary..
She is such a beautiful cat. And so sweet. I fucking love her so much, I am so sad.

I had to say goodbye to my favorite kitty in the world last night, she is being put to sleep today. She has been very ill, and we don't want to see her deteriorate any more than she already has.....I am heartbroken.
If she is truly suffering badly, it's the humane thing to do. When my one cat was dying, he was still so upbeat and lovable but he couldn't hold down food and he was so emaciated towards the end that I couldn't watch him suffer any longer. It broke my heart because he was still so wanting to live and so happy and sweet despite his deterioration. I still feel guilty to this day if I did the right thing but the doctors couldn't find out what was wrong with him and he was an old kitty.
Euthanasia can be a hard choice for pet owners. You can ask to have them cremated and keep their ashes. That's what I did. :(
