Jennifer Lawrence Shuts Down Rumor That She And Liam Hemsworth Hooked Up While He Was With Miley Cyrus

On Monday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Bravo daddy Andy Cohen graduated from stirring the pot between reality TV stars and moved on to the big leagues of stirring shit between A-listers! After asking Jennifer Lawrence to respond to rumors that Miley Cyrus’ song, Flowers referenced “a secret fling” that JLaw had with her Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth while he was in a relationship with Miley. She was quick to deny deny deny.

Speculation went off back in January after Miley dropped her Flowers music video, and amateur detectives of the internet resurfaced an old clip from 2015 when who else but Andy Cohen asked Jen if she and Liam ever kissed when the cameras weren’t rolling, which she sheepishly replied, “Liam and I grew up together. Liam’s real hot,” then asked, “What would you have done?” When Andy said he’d pick Gale over Peta any day, she laughed and admitted, “I did- at one point.” So seven years later, amid yet another WWHL game of “Plead the Fifth” and a writers’ strike leaving Andy with no new material, he didn’t hesitate to ask if there’s any correlation between Miley’s song and Jennifer, according to Us Weekly:

“Not true,” she asserted. “I would love to [respond]. It’s not true. Total rumor.”

Lawrence continued: “I mean, we all know that me and Liam, like, kissed one time. But it was years after they broke up. So I just assume that was, like, a coincidence.”

The “coincidence” she’s referring to is the gold dress that Miley wore in her video, which was similar to a dress Jen wore for the 2012 Hunger Games premiere, as reported by Insider:

However, during her appearance on the show Monday, Lawrence said she “just assumed that was a coincidence” that Cyrus had worn a slinky gold vintage Saint Laurent dress that closely resembled the gown she had worn at the first “Hunger Games” film premiere in 2012, where she posed alongside Hemsworth and her other costar, Josh Hutcherson.

Some viewers are calling bullshit on Jennifer’s denial, but I say the only way we can know for sure is if we get Miley Cyrus onto WWHL so we can hear the raspy words can come straight from the horse’s mouth!
