Nick Cannon Claims To Be Getting A Master’s Degree In Child Psychology

In an episode of The Language of Love with Dr. Laura Berman called “The Mother of All Fathers,” Nick Cannon–father to twelve with six different women–spoke about how he will be getting a master’s degree in child psychology and Ph.D. in “divinity.” I will applaud Nick for that child psychology degree. If he could pass any class or absorb a shred of knowledge, it would come in handy since he could save money on getting his children therapy to deal with their absent father figure issues and just provide the service himself!

So technically, this will be Nick’s second foray into higher education, as Black Enterprise says he claimed in 2020 to have graduated from Howard University with a Criminology/Administration of Justice degree and a minor in Africana Studies. But Nick deleted tweets about that educational announcement, so… did he really? I don’t know; you can believe what you will. I mean, it’s amazing, if so, that he was able to graduate from university and have all those babies at the same time. That’s a skill… …of the women who actually raise the children. Let’s rollcall the kids again:

12-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, with ex-wife Mariah Carey; 2-year-old twins Zion and Zillion, 2, and a 6-month-old daughter named Beautiful Zeppelin, with Abby De La Rosa. He and Brittany Bell have three children: 6-year-old Golden Sagon, 2-year-old Powerful Queen, and 9-month-old Rise Messiah. He also has an 11-month-old son Legendary Love, with Bre Tiesi, and a 9-month-old daughter, Onyx Ice, with LaNisha Cole. And finally, Nick also has a 6-month-old daughter, Halo Marie, with Alyssa Scott with whom he also had a child, Zen, who passed away at 5 months old from brain cancer.

So during the podcast with Dr. Laura, the 42-year-old dad to a dozen makes the outrageous claim that he’s out here learning about child psychology. via People:

“Yeah, that’ll come in handy,” Berman said, as Cannon added he’s “in that conversation every day.”

“Oh, the presence of a father and how much will they need you and the Freudian aspect of reverting back to your childhood trauma, or the lack thereof. Nature vs nurture. These are conversations I have several times every single day,” Cannon continued.

“With who?” asked Berman. “With naysayers or with the mamas?”

“Nah, not naysayers. But I’m like, I’m living, whether in therapy on my own or even just wanting to make sure that every single child has what they need, developmentally. And emotionally. I’m studying the brain and at what point does sensory matter,” Cannon explained.

So… I mean… I think it’s obvious from that statement that he is not actually studying anything, or if he is, that Nick is not retaining any pertinent information. Because what the fuck does he mean by “At what point does sensory matter?” What sense? Matters in what way? Something tells me that the part of this he forgot to say to us is that for his Master’s degree, he’s attending TikTok University.
