Bethenny Frankel Responds To Instagram Followers Dragging Her For Showing Off Her Huge Engagement Ring

Oh, how the mighty B has fallen! In the span of only a few years, Bethenny Frankel has gone from getting paid to fight with the Real Housewives Of New York on our TV screens to now fighting with random people on social media for free. Bethenny posted a video on her Instagram showing off her supersized, meaty engagement ring from her fiancé Paul Bernon, which, in these trying times when buying eggs makes you look like a high roller, nobody wants to see that shit! But no matter how many people called out Bethenny’s tone-deaf post, she didn’t want to hear that shit.

Bethenny doubled down on her choice to post the video by trolling her peeved-off comments section, and with every snarky remark, And Just Like That… writers grew more and more justified in their shade towards her during the latest episode where Carrie Bradshaw confesses she, “almost bought a house in the Hamptons six times but always found a reason not to,” to which her friend responds, “Was that reason always Bethenny Frankel?”

Here’s what went down, according to People:

The post, soundtracked to Angel Laketa Moore’s TikTok-viral “One Margarita,” described performing sexual acts that become more extreme for each margarita the rapper drinks. In the video, Frankel jokingly replaced alcohol with the word “carats.”

While it was intended as a lighthearted way to show off her jewelry, some didn’t take it lightly.

“This makes me sick,” one woman wrote, before explaining that she was a single mother and that “the rich just keep getting richer and the middle class keep getting f—– down to the poor.. but by all means Mrs. Frankel you totally DESERVE this.”

Frankel responded: “Then you should maybe do something and help some people…. Go to a shelter.”

Here’s a close-up of the rock:

While she made her point and should’ve stopped there, she bounced from comment to comment to defend this ring that weighs more than her:

Frankel’s comments didn’t stop there, as she also encouraged others to find a “sense of humor,” reminded them they were commenting under an “engagement post,” and accused one user of being “jealous” after they wrote that “big rings don’t make good marriages.”

“Sorry you’re jealous. Feel better. But 👏👏👏 for the engagement. You’re buying me another ring.”

Bethenny can rant for days, weeks, and months without taking a breath about how filtered and shallow social media is, and once called out Kylie Jenner for posting her daughter Stormi wearing a $12,000 Hermes backpack, remarking, “I’m no stranger to an @Hermes_Paris bag & have a daughter & luxury cars, but flaunting (under the guise of a back to school post) during a pandemic & the greatest unemployment crisis in our lifetime is a choice.” But when she posts something out of touch, suddenly everyone’s just “jealous.” (Shrugs) Makes sense!

But if you ask me, the real faux pas is shelling out all that money for a tacky, lopsided ring that looks like it was popped out of a capsule from a toy vending machine!
