Open Post: Hosted By Aubrey Plaza Flipping Off The Jumbotron At A WNBA Game

On Tuesday night, Aubrey Plaza went to a WNBA game to watch the Los Angeles Sparks take on the Minnesota Lynx. At one point, someone stuck a camera in Aubrey’s face and put her on the Jumbotron. But The Huffington Post says Aubrey didn’t appreciate her little cameo. Or maybe she did, and she was feelin’ sassy. Either way, Aubrey flipped off the cameras. Whoa, whoa, whoa. The only bird that should be at a basketball game is a Larry Bird (this joke was brought to you by me Googling to double-check if Larry Bird is a basketball person).

Here’s a sunglass-wearing Aubrey giving the middle finger on the Jumbotron:

Won’t somebody please think of the children?! Aubrey may have exuded “feck off” vibes on the Jumbotron, but she agreed to chat with a WNBA interviewer during the game. Aubrey revealed she’s become a big L.A. Sparks fan over the past year after her sister got season tickets and started taking her:

“I just love watching the players,” Plaza said. “It’s inspiring, they’re so good.”

Plaza admitted to being a bit of a b-baller herself and said she played when she was younger. “I was a defensive player,” Plaza said. “I was constantly on the ball. I was just crazy.”

Here’s the chat:

Aubrey also talked about her basketball career on The Tonight Show back in 2016. She played for the Pistol Shrimps and showed Jimmy Fallon a team pic where she’s… you guessed it… giving the finger. Sounds like Aubrey just loves that specific hand gesture. Maybe that’s why she seemed so annoyed when she accepted that SAG Award with The White Lotus accepted cast back in February. She couldn’t let her bird fly free on live T.V.! Quelle tragique…
