Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers Reached A Settlement In Their Divorce

After the judge learned of the shocking allegations of Armie Hammer‘s (he claimed consensual) dabblements in sexual assault and cannibalism, in a perfect world, Elizabeth Chambers would’ve gotten everything she asked for plus 10% before the ink on her and Armie’s simultaneous divorce filings were dry. But, splitting up Armie’s unpaid AmEx bills and timeshare-selling commission checks must take time because Elizabeth, 40, and Armie, 36, have only just now reached a settlement in their divorce–three years after filing.
According to Page Six, Armie’s now back to living in Los Angeles after completing a long-term treatment program and working as a sober companion. Last month, Armie thanked the L.A. District Attorney when they announced that they won’t file any criminal charges against him after investigating him for sexual assault. And now, Armie has just submitted his final paperwork to get his divorce ordeal settled.
The “Call Me by Your Name” star submitted his final declaration of disclosure on June 14, which means the two were preparing to settle, but sources tell us that Hammer and the Bird Bakery founder actually already closed the door on their marriage.
Chambers filed for dissolution on July 10, 2020, after a decade of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the split.
However, the “differences” would soon be revealed to be the sexual abuse — and cannibalism — allegations that were ultimately leveled against Hammer.
Attorneys and reps for the new divorcés didn’t immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.
And according to People, the only thing left standing between Elizabeth and her much-deserved freedom is for the court to approve it.
In a Declaration of Default obtained by PEOPLE, the court document revealed “the parties have entered into a written agreement regarding their property and their marriage or domestic partnership rights, including support, the original of which is being or has been submitted to the court” and that the pair are asking “the court [to] approve the agreement.”
Armie and Elizabeth have two kids, Harper, 8, and Ford, 6. Custody arrangements weren’t reported, but I’d imagine the court would give most or all of it to the parent who doesn’t have a documentary about how fucked up their rich family is going back several generations.
