Hailey Bieber Asked Her Fans To Stop Leaving Mean Comments To People (Presumably Selena Gomez) On Her Behalf
Hailey and Justin Bieber have been married for four years. Selena Gomez and Justin’s shambolic on/off relationship ended five years ago. Despite those circumstances not affecting anyone else’s circumstances whatsoever, there are still people on the internet who are equal parts pathetically and fervently either on “Team Jailey” or “Team Jelena.” The most recent uproar over a feud that both Hailey and Selena said doesn’t exist involved Kylie Jenner and an eyebrow video that prompted Selena stans to send death threats to Hailey. Selena finally asked her Selenators to stand down, and Hailey thanked her. But now, the petty pendulum must’ve swung toward Selena’s comment section because Hailey just requested that her fans stop spewing vitriol towards “others” (so, Selena) on her behalf. What a time to be alive.
According to TooFab, Selena and Hailey following each other on Instagram and posing for pics together still hasn’t resonated with the zealots, and some of Hailey’s fans went hard on Selena in one of her recent posts.
Mind you, Hailey liked the post — see, everything is cool here — but that didn’t stop her so-called supporters from laying into the “Lose You to Love Me” singer, calling Selena “jealous” and even saying she’s “copying” Hailey’s style. And those are the nicer comments.
It erupted into an all-out fan war in the comment section, with Selena’s fans giving as nasty as she was getting, all of which has nothing to do with Selena’s post or anything going on in the reality of either women.
Here’s Selena’s innocuous post from two days ago that ignited thousands of batshit crazy comments:
Hailey hearting the post must not have been enough to retract her fans’ claws, so she resorted to appealing to them in her Stories with this yesterday:
A valiant effort by Hailey, but then it just caused a frenzy of Selenator shit-posting across her own Insta-grid. These messy fans need to re-evaluate their lives and priorities because the prized pig they’re imaginarily pitting these women against each other for is an absolute dweeb. Justin is 29, Hailey is 26, and Selena is 30, so I’d imagine their maniacal fans would have to be around the same age and should have lives and obligations of their own to worry about. And suppose they’re under the impression that comment section-caping will eventually spur either of these women to become their new real-life bestie. In that case, they should remember that even gifting Selena a new kidney does not make a friendship!
