Anita Baker Is Not Here For Babyface’s Fans And Wants Them To Put Some RESPECK On Her Name

You’d think a tour featuring 80s Quiet Storm standards Anita Baker and Babyface would be calm and cool, but that’s not the case with their current tour. Actually, scratch that because it’s not their tour at all since Anita’s not giving credit to anyone other than herself for this tour titled The Songstress. I would assume she’s referring to herself, so anyone else who comes along for the ride (aka Babyface) should be pleased they received an invitation in the first place. And she wanted to remind all of Babyface’s fans, or Kenny’s Crazies as she affectionately refers to them, that SHE is the only star of this tour. Anita’s not lying, either, since Babyface is off her tour.

This isn’t the first time Anita and Babyface have been causing folks to wonder whether or not everything is all good behind the scenes. During the early stages of their tour, which she should have named Anita and Some Guy You Might Know, there was tension beginning with Babyface’s fans when Anita cut his set short in the interest of time for her own set. That was the match that set off the fuse for Babyface’s fans because TMZ reports Anita has taken to Twitter to remind bitches she is the one and only Anita Baker! And she has a message that’s basically a very polite way of her saying directly to Babyface, “You better get your fans before I do.”

On Monday, Anita ripped into Babyface and a random smattering of his followers on Twitter, continuing her tirade from the day before.

According to Anita, Babyface has been breaching his contract as an opening act by staying onstage past his set time, which cuts into her headlining performance.

Fans lashed out at Anita for not acknowledging Babyface as her equal — to which she informed him the “Whip Appeal” singer is certainly NOT … at least as where The Songstress Tour is concerned.

Over the past few days, Anita has been sounding off on Babyface’s fans with a barrage of tweets that sound like gunshots if you read them fast enough.

Ultimately, as much fun as she had with trolling Babyface’s fans, she eventually realized the most important thing here is the money. And by clipping coupons, she has eliminated one costly item; Babyface.

This decision is probably best since Babyface’s fans seem a little intense. Or maybe Anita is purposely overreacting, and she’ll tweet something like “Sorry guys, I was caught up in the rapture!” for sympathy. And if that doesn’t sell out every seat for the rest of the year, I don’t know what will.
