Recently, Kim Catrall declared that she’s going to do whatever it takes to fight aging. Well, now it’s her And Just Like That… co-star (well, for one episode anyway) Kristin Davis‘ turn to fight it out over the topic of face tweaking. 58-year-old Kristin is talking about how her filler usage has been criticized and she’s been so relentlessly harassed for how she looks. Kristin adds that she’s cried over her filler choices as she tried to keep up.
While promoting the second season of AJLT during an interview with The Telegraph, Kristin got into how she’s been “ridiculed relentlessly” for her face fillers, saying that “it’s hard to be confronted with your younger self at all times,” and that she’s “shed tears” over this. I know this is true about my high school prom photos–the active collagen in that little gay’s skin? Insanity! So I can only imagine what Kristin experiences. via People:
“I’ve had to get them dissolved, and I’ve been ridiculed relentlessly,” she told the publication. “And I have shed tears about it. It’s very stressful… It’s a challenge to remember that you don’t have to look like that… The internet wants you to–but they also don’t want you to. They’re very conflicted.”
Kristin went on to say how her lips veered a little bit too far into the Joker-smile realm of reality and that some of her friends had to explain she needs to tone it down on the lip filling:
“No one told me it didn’t look good for the longest time… Luckily I do have good friends who did say eventually–the thing is you don’t smile at yourself in the mirror. Who smiles at themselves in the mirror? Crazy people.”
Kristin says that for now, she’s done with worrying about what people have to say about her filling in the cracks of aging, and she’s not even on any kind of Goop diet to keep being young on the inside either:
“It’s whatever. I can’t keep it up,” the actress said. “I don’t have time. You’re trusting doctors [but] people personally blame us when it goes wrong–[as if] I jabbed a needle in my face.”
Davis also told the outlet that she no longer works out or has a special diet that she follows, explaining, “I just eat what the kids are eating,” referring to her daughter Gemma and son Wilson–whom she adopted in 2011 and 2018, respectively.
I’m sure that the Kardashian Koven is reading this and thinking: “Well if Kristin hates fillers so much, why not just switch to Botox? They’re totally different things!” And Kim Cattrall will see all those fillers left behind from Kristin and go: “If she’s not using them, I will!”
