Tory Lanez Allegedly Tried To Ambush Megan Thee Stallion On Stage During Her Rolling Loud Set In 2021

On June 13, Tory Lanez will receive his long-awaited sentence and get Spartan-kicked into the slammer. In December, Tory was found guilty on three charges of assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July of 2020. Earlier this week, during a memorandum sentencing for Tory, prosecutors sought to sentence him to 13 years which is generous considering Tory hasn’t shown, forget an ounce, not even a gram of remorse. According to the sentencing memo, Tory, with help from fellow rapper DaBaby, even attempted to ambush Meg during her performance at the 2021 Rolling Loud Festival while she had an order of protection from him.
The Daily Beast reports that Tory and DaBaby allegedly planned to rush the stage at Meg’s Rolling Loud set. Like Tory, DaBaby, was once a part of Meg’s inner circle until he decided to go to the dark side by turning on Meg and joining Tory. Truly a surprising move, coming from a homophobe. Here’s what the documents say, as reported by The Daily Beast:
The 12-page memo, first reported by Meghan Cuniff, specifically highlights an incident on July 25, 2021 when Lanez showed up at the hip-hop festival Rolling Loud in Miami where Megan was performing. Lanez garnered headlines for his appearance during DaBaby’s set that weekend. DaBaby also drew heat from Megan’s supporters, given that the two had previously collaborated on multiple songs and were supposedly friends.
Now it turns out Lanez and DaBaby had additional plans to surprise Megan during her set.
“During the victim’s performance, the defendant went through security clearance and entered the green room,” the memorandum reads. “These areas were within 100 yards of the stage where the victim was performing, in violation of the protective order.”
The doc continues, “It was also brought to the victim’s attention that the defendant and DaBaby attempted to rush the stage during her performance. In no way was the victim previously aware of nor did she consent to the defendant’s presence at the venue when she would be performing.”
It wasn’t enough to attack her. He also needed to troll her in songs and taunt her on stage. The memo quickly pointed out the obvious, “The defendant has failed to exhibit any remorse, which begs the question whether any of the apologies he directed to the victim in his text message and jail call were genuine.”
Tory’s legal team filed a motion for a new trial in March, but the judge said, “Heeeeell no!” Now he’s all set to be sentenced this upcoming Tuesday. After doing his time, he could get deported back to Canada, where he’ll spend the rest of his days texting Drake, “Come thru,” only to get, “Sorry just seeing this now,” texts a week later.
