Raquel Leviss Says She Proposed A Throuple Between Her, Tom Sandoval, And Ariana Madix

Last night was the third and final part of the Vanderpump Rules reunion. This was the big one. Last month, an executive producer told Variety that particular reunion “revelations” might affect which cast members want to sign on for next season. Fans speculated that Raquel Leviss would drop a major bomb during her one-on-one interview. The leading theories were: she’s pregnant with Tom Sandoval’s baby, production was aware of Scandoval the whole time (obviously, that would upset Ariana Madix), or the affair began way earlier (when Raquel was still engaged to James Kennedy). In the end, Raquel’s bomb was more like a super old grenade from World War I; yes, it was fascinating, but it didn’t blow up shit.

Here are the big takeaways from Raquel’s final interview, filmed a week after the reunion. Revelation Numero Uno: Throuple? Raquel revealed that, as the affair intensified, she asked Tom, “What would Ariana think of me being an addition?” She said that she loved “Ariana as a person” and she was “in love with Sandoval,” so it “didn’t seem like that far-fetched of an idea.” I mean, if you cheat with your best friend’s partner, transitioning the affair into a throuple is a better option than being the other woman and everyone in the world hating you. Alas, Tom rejected the idea.

Revelation Numero Dos: LIES! During the reunion, Tom repeatedly claimed that he and Raquel initially had a “one night stand” in early August, and their affair didn’t pick up steam until months later. That was Tom’s timeline, and he was stickin’ to it. But, in her one-on-one, Raquel turned on her lovah. She said that she and Tom had sex multiple times when the cast was in Mexico for Scheana Shay’s wedding in late August. So, while Raquel was making out with Katie Maloney’s ex/Sandoval’s bestie, Tom Schwartz, on the Mexico trip (that was her “official” storyline), she and Sandoval were secretly banging in her hotel room. Raquel said she kept up the timeline-lie during the reunion because Tom told her “it would be less hurtful” to say that it wasn’t going on “for so long.” 

Raquel also exposed her and Tom’s lie that she didn’t go to St. Louis to visit his family during Christmas. It took a while for the producer to get that one outta her, though. After they asked, “So you’ve never been to St. Louis?”, the screen cut to a picture of Tom and Raquel posing in front of the Apotheosis of St. Louis statue. The photo was taken in late December 2022. Then the screen cut back to a nervous Raquel, who said, “I can’t, I can’t recall, no.” The producer pushed, and she admitted, “It frickin’ happened.”

Raquel says she always wanted to tell Ariana the truth and is sick of the lies. She mentioned that Tom would “kill” her for exposing him, but “I just hate lying so much, I hate it!” Then, producers asked Raquel if she hooked up with Tom at his house “the night you guys went to the jacuzzi” (this was a plot point during the season, and Tom, Schwartz, and Raquel all contradicted each other about whether or not she stayed over at Tom and Ariana’s house). Raquel denied having sex with Tom that night, but after producers prodded some more, she said:

He’s asked me to not expose all this information. Especially now, with, like, being so isolated. I feel like Tom is like my one person who I do have, and if I just went and betrayed him… then I’d really have nobody.

Producers pointed out that Raquel already“ripped the band-aid off” by clearing up the timeline lie, so “what’s one more detail?” Raquel finally FINALLY began crying (EMOTION!!!) and proceeded to sing like a canary, providing us with Revelation Numero Tres:

It’s the one story that we’ve agreed on getting straight, and… I know that the reason why Tom wanted to lie about it is because it’s a really bad look to… hook up with someone’s boyfriend in their own house when they’ve gone out of town. Especially for like a funeral of all things. So, like… I don’t know. This is fucking… kills my soul. Like, I am so sick of lying, I hate it. I hate being deceitful. It’s horrible.

Yep, Raquel and Tom banged at Ariana’s house while she was out of town for her grandmother’s funeral. And Tom told Raquel to lie so they wouldn’t look bad.

In a “Making A Scene” episode breakdown with Variety, Andy Cohen said he believed Raquel’s lack of emotion during the reunion was because she was “heavily medicated”. Word is, Raquel is currently in a mental health facility, and, for her sake, I hope she stays faaaar away from reality television and Tom Sandoval. It’s unclear if she and Tom are still together. At the reunion, they said they were still in love, but that was filmed back in March. On May 17, Page Six reported they’d broken up. On May 29, Tom was spotted talking on the phone with Raquel on an airplane. Was the break-up news bullshit? Will either of them return to the show? It’s all up in the air.

One last thing. Yesterday, before the reunion aired, Andy hinted that the final episode contained a moment that he believed would “upset every woman in America.” He was actually right on this one. During the big group interview, Andy asked Tom if he’d slept with other women since his and Raquel’s affair. Ariana cut in and confirmed that she and Tom were still intimate while he was cheating with Raquel (during the affair, Tom pulled a classic douchebag move and told Raquel that he and Ariana didn’t have sex anymore). Here’s what happened next via People:

“You know who he did sleep with after him and Raquel started sleeping together? Me,” Madix, 37, said, prompting Sandoval to fire back with a not-so-nice review of the encounter. “She kept her T-shirt on. It was really hot,” he griped.

Tom’s comment was especially rude, considering Ariana has been open about her body image issues. Here’s the clip:

Clearly, Ariana knew that this comment would be a big talking point. So, she’s cashing in and already selling T-shirts that say, “Fuck me in this T-Shirt”:
