Open Post: Hosted By Salma Hayek Showing Off Her “White Hairs And Wrinkles”

Salma Hayek has objectively been a Hollywood babe for almost 30 years now and is also a bona fide billionaire-by-injection, so given her sex symbol status and mountains of cash, it would be easy for her to decide to be swimming in hair dye or wigs and good plastic surgery in perpetuity. However, 56-year-old Salma took to social media with a close-up of her face that showcased her silvering strands and a few wrinkles (both of which no one would have ever noticed if her altruistic, magnificent chi-chis were also in the photo).

Salma took to Instagram yesterday to prove that some “stars: they’re just like us” when it comes to aging. via TMZ:

Taking to Instagram Tuesday, the actress posted a close-up photo of her makeup-less face with her gray hairs, wrinkles and eye bags in full view.

Kind of a bold move for a sex symbol … but Salma has never been bashful, and she now appears to be embracing middle age. Under her pic, the caption read … “Me waking up and counting how many white hairs and wrinkles have crashed the party this morning.”

Here’s her post:

Fans and celebs flocked to the comments to praise a keeping-it-(I’d assume mostly) real queen.

One wrote, “Thank you for sharing! It helps all of to see that even the most beautiful and famous also age.”

Another said, “You’re just a real natural human being and that beautiful! Thank you.”

Even supermodel Cindy Crawford gave her stamp of approval in a single word, “Beautiful!”

Wow, Salma; so, SO brave (and not just for keeping a straight face while acting alongside Lady Gaga‘s House Of Gucci accent)! But that bravery’s probably made a bit easier by the fact that with a little hair zhuzh-ing, makeup artistry, maybe a skosh of Facetune, and an appropriate distance from the camera, she can still look like this:
