Pete Davidson Got Dragged For Buying A Dog Instead Of Adopting A Rescue
While Pete Davidson awaits the call telling him whether or not he’ll be facing criminal charges for crashing his car into a Beverly Hills home with his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders riding shotgun, the incident might’ve just trauma bonded the couple enough that they’re ready to take the next step in their relationship! Pete and Chase were spotted getting a puppy together at the pet shop Citipups in NYC. So naturally, the “adopt don’t shop” comments came flooding in.
TMZ says that Pete’s new two-and-a-half-month-old puppy friend is a Cavapoo who warmed his heart and wallet after seeing a picture of the little guy. The pet shop’s website states that Cavapoos go for $3,295. Here’s a picture of Pete and Chase paying for his puppy at Citipups:
The new addition to the family comes a month after Pete’s family lost their 2-year-old dog Henry, who Pete noted, “Not sure id even be around without him,” in an Instagram post shared on an account belonging to his comedian friend Dave Sirus, as reported by Page Six:
“My mom, sister and I got Henry at the beginning of the pandemic and he saved our lives. Not sure id even be around without him,” Davidson, 29, wrote, adding that his family was left “broken.”
“We love you Henry,” he continued. “Thank you for making our lives fuller and reminding me what actually matters.”
TMZ reported that Davidson fell in love with his new dog after seeing him in a photo before visiting the pet store in-person. The pup he took home is a 2-and-a-half-month-old male who hadn’t yet been given a name.
Although Wonders, 27, went to the store with Davidson, it’s unclear if they’ll co-own the dog or if she was merely there for support.

As for Pete’s new puppy, social media users increased the brightness and zoomed in on their phones with disgust when they realized that Pete was standing at the counter of a pet store that gets their dogs from evil puppy mills. Although, Citipups claims they get their dogs from “responsible breeders.”

Well, if Chase decided to co-parent a pet with Pete, I hope it goes better than the time Pete got a micro pig with Ariana Grande. Because this Cavapoo puppy doesn’t need to go through broken home drama like poor Piggy Smallz did!
