Miley Cyrus Cleared Up Her Comments About Not Wanting To Do Tours Anymore

Now that Miley Cyrus is a grown-ass 30-year-old adult, she’s been regaling the public with tales of her early days of fame. For starters, during a very candid interview with British Vogue, Miley admitted she was chastised mercilessly for being young and hot in the ass during her Bangerz era, and it left her with a huge amount of shame and guilt. Now, with three decades of experience under her belt, Miley will no longer adhere to any rules other than the ones she makes for herself. And that includes whether or not she goes on tour. The short answer from Miley is, “Get someone else to do it!” But after her comments pissed off her fans, Miley is beating her chest one more time to say it again, but with a hint of professionalism this time.

According to People, Miley wanted to make sure those who thought she was kidding about not touring again understood wholeheartedly she’s made up her mind. Of course, this seems silly since she recently released Endless Summer Vacation, which apparently was more of a warning than an album title. Because at least for now, Miley will most certainly be taking a long vacation from touring, and she will not apologize for it. She will, however, use Twitter to reiterate she said what she said by giving a lengthy explanation. And basically, she’s saying that at the big age of 30, she no longer desires the cramped quarters of tour life or the limited storage options for the haute couture she now finds herself swathed in numerous times throughout the year.

After the pop star recently told British Vogue that she doesn’t have a “desire” to go on tour due to a lack of “connection” and “safety,” Cyrus posted to Twitter on Wednesday to clarify her comments.

“For clarity I feel connected to my fans NOW more than ever. When I win, WE win,” wrote the 30-year-old “Flowers” singer-songwriter in a statement. “Even if I don’t see them face to face every night at a concert, my fans are felt deeply in my heart.”

Sensing the Twitter backlash nipping at the heels of her opening statement, Miley quickly brought the attention back to the only thing that matters; the fans and the FASHION!

“Performing for YOU has been some of the best days of my live & we will continue this journey together as we have for the last almost two decades,” continued the musician. “This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans and everything to do with I simply don’t want to get ready in a locker room. Which is the reality of life on the road.”

She then wrote about the high-fashion “looks I’ve been turnin” and how they “don’t travel well,” adding that “the archival looks don’t fold.”

I guess it was time for Miley to take a wrecking ball to the hearts of all her fans by expressing how jaded she is with the touring process. And she probably needs this break, but I doubt it will last long. All that un-foldable high fashion isn’t going to pay for itself, so this is probably more like an intermission than an actual retirement from touring.
