Kim Kardashian Talks Being A Single Parent, Says She Cries Herself To Sleep Some Nights

One thing I do believe when it comes to anything that the Koven has ever said about themselves is that 42-year-old Kim Kardashian is definitely a single parent to her four children with 45-year-old Kanye West–9-year-old North, 7-year-old Saint, 5-year-old Chicago, and 4-year-old Psalm. And by that, I mean that she’s the one who liaises with the nannies. Kanye’s too busy running for President with far-right trolls and being a psychotic anti-Semite. That’s time-consuming. But apparently, Kim says in a new podcast interview that being a single parent is so hard that she cries herself to sleep sometimes.
Kim and Kanye settled their divorce at the end of last year, with Kim getting custody of the children 80% of the time. Now, Kim is branding herself as a Single Mother™, and People says she went on On Purpose with Jay Shetty to talk about her life as a single mom as her team of nannies stood there like, “Why do I suddenly smell like chopped liver?” via Insider:
Kardashian told Shetty that “parenting is the thing that has taught me the most about myself… It has been the most challenging thing… There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy shit, this fucking tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?”
“…You know, with all the moods and the personalities and sometimes they’re fighting, and you know, there’s no one there. Like, it’s [just] me to play good police officer and bad cop.”
The mother of four continued by telling Shetty she’s working on “being a little bit firmer” but acknowledged that “parenting is really fucking hard.”
“That’s the only way I can describe it. It is the most rewarding job in the entire world. It is. There is nothing that can prepare you,” Kardashian said. “I don’t care how long you wait. I don’t care what you’re waiting for. You are never prepared. But you will figure it out, and it will make you so proud of yourself that you figured it out and that you got through the day.”
Kim went on to talk about how difficult some nights are with four children to put to bed:
In the same interview, People reported that Kardashian described the “full madness” of having young children.
“Everyone says the days are long and the years are short, and that couldn’t be like a more true statement,” Kardashian told Shetty. “So, like, when you’re in it, I mean, especially when they’re babies and you’re feeding … there’s madness going on. It’s like full madness. It’s the best chaos though.”
She also gave a glimpse into navigating a nighttime routine with her four children, according to People.
“We are going hour by hour to see if we’re gonna survive night by night,” Kardashian said. “If a tantrum comes in, oh my God, your life is completely upside down. But it teaches you so much more about yourself than I think anyone, any parent, could have ever anticipated.”She told Shetty that parenting during the pandemic was “insane.”
“There’s nights when you don’t wash your hair for days as a mom and you have spit up all over you and you’re wearing the same pajamas, especially in COVID. It was insane, you know?”
I’m sure COVID was very hard for Kim. Hey, didn’t her sister have a giant Halloween-slash-birthday party complete with COVID tests that the general public had zero access to as we were forced to stay away from each other for fear of infection and death? But her life really must have been sad. Here’s a trailer for the podcast episode out today:
Wow, things are getting tough for Kim in the parenting department. I guess we know what that means; another job listing for an underpaid nanny is about to go up in the greater Hidden Hills area. Keep your eyes peeled if you love taking care of other people’s kids and eventually suing your employer over underpayment.
