Sir Karl Jenkins Confirms That He Was Not Meghan Markle In Disguise At The Coronation

When Welsh composer Sir Karl Jenkins attended the royal Coronation for King Charles III last weekend, he probably put on his best suit, combed out his giant mustache, and left the house really feeling himself- only to have his picture and videos from the Coronation go viral under the assertion that CLEARLY, he’s actually Meghan Markle in disguise. But Sir Karl has popped up on TikTok to say that he’s definitely not Meghan Markle. Or…is that exactly what Meghan Markle wants us to think??!!

Sir Karl Jenkins was just minding his own business at the Coronation when Twitter decided that the Welsh Wilford Brimley was someone in disguise. Since Prince Harry went to the Coronation by himself, leaving Meghan and their kids in California, Twitter joked that Sir Karl was really that sneaky Meghan Markle under pounds of prosthetics and wig hair:

But a few days later, Sir Karl’s seatmate, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, confirmed that Karl is not Meghan Markle and also not a jewel thief:

Sir Karl himself then took to TikTok to let the good people of England know they need not be fooled! Here’s what Karl has to say about the whole mess. via People:

“I was there because I’d written some music, for the service really. I was quite surprised that some people thought I was Meghan Markle in disguise. Someone wrote I was there to steal the crown jewels,” he laughed. “I look this way all the time!”

Jenkins then showed the Knight’s Bachelor badge (awarded in 2015 for his services to music) that he wore inside Westminster Abbey and added that he’s had a mustache since he was 18.

“So that’s me. Nothing sinister about it or surprising at all,” he concluded.

Here’s the Tik Tok of Karl setting the record straight:

Well, thank goodness he cleared that up! How else would society ever have been able to solve this case?? If only Meg had a good alibi to confirm her whereabouts that day- like, oh, I don’t know- throwing a birthday party for her child amongst family and friends in her own home…
