Tom Cruise Is Rumored To Be Interested In Dating Shakira After They Hung Out Together At A Formula 1 Race
Shakira‘s been on a wild ride for a beat now. Her estranged husband Gerard Piqué put her in a jam–and his lovah, Clara Chia Marti, dipped into Shakira’s favorite jam–while he passed his peen to Clara in his marital home when Shakira was away; and, the Spanish tax man still calleth. And Tom Cruise is, ya know, Tom Cruise. He’s still culty and an allegedly emotionally neglectful deadbeat dad; but hey, he’s still doing many of his own stunts and drawing traffic into the box office. His latest stunt? Allegedly hoping to shoot his shot for an exciting new arrangement relationship with Shakira after they were photographed together at a Formula 1 race this past weekend.
According to Page Six, a source said that Tom, 60, is very interested in Shakira, 46, after they were photographed hanging out at the starting point of the race and continued chatting in a private hospitality suite on Sunday. Shakira is obviously now rid of Gerard and Tom reportedly briefly dated his Mission: Impossible 7 co-star Hayley Atwell last year but is now also single.
After Tom Cruise and the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer were photographed hanging out together at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami over the weekend, a source exclusively tells Page Six: “He is extremely interested in pursuing her.”
“There is chemistry,” says the source.

Afterward, he even sent her flowers (screw flowers, send her that cake!) She’s also not taller than him, which he probably views as a plus since those boot lifts just can’t have the greatest arch support for a senescent action star.
“Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom,” says our source — adding that Cruise has the benefit of being, “a nice-looking guy, and he is talented.”
The source also cracked, “And she isn’t taller than him.”
Cruise is 5-foot-7 while the pop star is 5-foot-2.
A source tells us that Cruise was so taken by the pop diva that he allegedly sent her flowers.
A soft place to land is someone who will probably hook you up to L. Ron Hubbard’s E-meter on the reg just to confess you farted in the elevator and blamed it on someone else that one time? Huh. But, maybe Shakira and Tom aren’t such an odd pairing after all; he’s a skilled meower and Shakira was told she sang like a goat and appeals to wild boars, so maybe there is some animal magnetism between them. Plus, the Church of Scientology is tax-exempt, which might appeal to Shakira if she becomes their golden boy’s freshest lucrative recruit. But, somebody needs to get Leah Remini on high alert just to keep Tom in check so “Where is Shaki?” doesn’t become the new “Where is Shelly?”
