“Real Housewives Of Atlanta” Alum Kim Zolciak Is Divorcing Kroy Biermann After 11 Years Of Marriage

Don’t be tardy for the court appearance! Kim Zolciak is officially taking applications for a new “Big Poppa” and designated driver because she and her husband, Kroy Biermann, are getting divorced after 11 years of marriage! Kandi Burruss is warming up the studio for The Ring Didn’t Mean A Thing: Vol II, as we speak.
44-year-old Kim met 37-year-old Kroy back in her early Real Housewives of Atlanta days at a charity event in 2010. Fast forward six months later, Kim was pregnant and filming her and Kroy’s spinoff show Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding. Since then, the pair has had four kids together and copied the Kardashians by naming all of them with K letter names: 11-year-old Kroy Jagger, 10-year-old Kash Kade, and 9-year-old twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren. Now after over a decade of marriage, Kim filed for divorce with “no hope for reconciliation.” via TMZ:
According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, The ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star lists April 30 as the date of separation between her and the former NFL star … the two were married for 11 years and had 4 kids together during that time.
Kim says she’s filing because the marriage is “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.” She’s asking for primary physical custody of the kids and joint legal custody … Kim also wants spousal support and to legally restore her maiden name.
Kim and Kroy share four children:
The news dropped only hours after it was reported that they owe the IRS over $1 million in unpaid taxes- a saga to the reports from a few months back of Kim and Kroy’s house going into foreclosure, which Kim and her daughters Brielle and Ariana Biermann denied, denied, denied. According to TMZ:
According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, the couple owes a whopping $1.1M to the IRS for unpaid taxes, interest, and penalties from 2013, 2017, and 2018 — they also owe the state of Georgia $15K for unpaid taxes for 2018.
As we reported, this news comes after their massive country club mansion in Alpharetta, GA — which was heavily featured on ‘RHOA’ — entered foreclosure in February … with Truist Bank hiring a law firm to handle the process.
Fans have already hit the conspiracy whiteboards to draw up theories on the connection between their split and their crumbling finances, hovering over the idea that the breakup could be a strategic move on her part to remove herself from liability. Others have watched Kim on TV long enough to know she’s off to look for new and richer blood after sucking Kroy dry.
Is it a “coincident” that Kim Zolciak filed for divorce from Kroy the same day news broke that they owe $1.1M in unpaid taxes? #RHOA pic.twitter.com/nV3weXkwns

Kim’s always been a firm believer in “ask, believe, and receive,” so there is no doubt in the next coming months, she’ll be doing lots of asking for child support.
