Olivia Wilde And Jason Sudeikis File To Dismiss Their Ex Nanny’s Case Against Them
In the midst of battling it out in a messy child custody and support fight, there is one thing uniting Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis– and it’s not their kids. The exes are coming together to tell their ex-nanny, Ericka Genaro, to fuck off with her wrongful termination lawsuit, asking the judge to dismiss the case. Because, well, they already have enough legal bills to deal with.
Both parties are giving different run-downs of the story, with the nanny suing because she claims she was fired for asking to take a three-day “stress leave” since she’d been taking on more time watching their kids after Olivia moved out to shoot her film Don’t Worry Darling which caused “debilitating” stress. Meanwhile, Jason and Olivia are saying hold the phone; she wasn’t fired, she quit!
Following her filing, Wilde and Sudeikis then claimed Genaro was never actually fired. In fact, they alleged she resigned and even offered to help them out for an extra five months.
They claimed Genaro was generously paid, with the pair even doubling her salary at the end of 2020 — leading her to continue asking for more money.
It allegedly wasn’t until the exes refused to pair her salary “tax free” that the former nanny started to get upset.
The ex-couple is hoping the judge will throw away the case faster than Jason threw himself in front of Olivia’s car to stop her from seeing Harry Styles– so they can try to reach some sort of agreement with the nanny outside of court, according to Page Six:
In documents obtained by Page Six, the now exes claim Ericka Genaro’s wrongful termination lawsuit was improperly filed in California as a civil suit when it should have been filed in New York.
Sudeikis and Wilde are hoping to get the California lawsuit dismissed altogether so they can properly hash things out in a private arbitration out east.
“It is unfortunate that this private matter continues to play out in the press,” the pair said in a statement on Thursday.
As you know, Erika’s made herself well known to the tabloids since all this shit went down, doing multiple interviews with The Daily Mail airing out all the dirty deets of Olivia and Jason’s final months together as a couple. But she might’ve shot herself in the foot by doing that since the exes say it was a breach of contract to gossip about their personal lives to the press. And according to Olivia, Ted Lasso is already trying to get out of paying one woman, so he definitely doesn’t want to pay up to a second!
