Sharon Stone Co-Signs Patti LuPone’s Thoughts On Kim Kardashian Joining “American Horror Story”

Kim Kardashian is going to star in the 12th season of American Horror Story, and many people have opinions about it. Including Patti LuPone, who has notoriously big opinions on a lot of things and people, and Sharon Stone, who survived a lightning strike, so to me, she’s essentially psychic. And neither woman is a fan of the idea of Kim trying her hand at acting, suggesting that she’s poisoning the art form. I’m not one to disagree with either Sharon or Patti–who are goddesses that I adore. There is no doubt Kim’s filler-frozen performance will stink up that place more than the fake gore, but let’s be real, Kim’s casting matches up with AHS‘ current “artistic vision.”

Broadway legend Patti LuPone is a regular fixture in the Ryan Murphy universe and has starred in AHS before. She played a Christian fundamentalist in Coven and was in the most recent season, NYC. But it doesn’t look like Patti will be in the next season, which also stars Emma Roberts and Cara Delevingne. While on Watch What Happens Live! this week, Patti let it be known that she isn’t feeling Kim Kardashian taking a job away from real actors. Yeah, isn’t she a lawyer? via Access Hollywood:

“Do you give a damn that Kim Kardashian is now acting in Season 12 of American Horror Story,” Andy asked Patti, to which she responded “Yes, I do.”

“You don’t like it, do you?” Andy said. “No, I don’t,” Patti responded.

“Excuse me, excuse me, Kim,” she said, addressing the reality star directly. “What are you doing with your life?”

“Don’t get on the stage, Mrs. Worthington,” she said, seemingly referring to the 1935 Noël Coward song.

Access Hollywood posted about Patti’s thoughts on Instagram, and Sharon Stone dipped into the comments to agree with her, writing:

“Well… you know… acting… It may not be brain surgery but We do treasure our art. We studied, we suffered, we do suffer for it. Ten thousand hours; it’s a thing.”

I don’t know if that’s a fair assessment. I mean, Kim will absolutely be terrible on the show, but she still has WELL OVER ten thousand hours of acting experience. She acts on her own show, she acts like a businesswoman, she acts like she’s going to be a full-time lawyer, and she acted surprised when Kanye West sympathized with Hitler. Her whole life is an act. Get it right, Sharon!
