Shannen Doherty Files For Divorce From Husband Kurt Iswarienko And It’s Probably Going To Get Messy
I learned at a very early age to never ever fuck with Brenda Walsh. But apparently, her photographer husband, Kurt Iswarienko, didn’t get that memo. Shannen Doherty has filed papers to legally quit Kurt Iswarienko after 11 years of marriage. And Shannen’s rep Leslie Sloane didn’t bother with spitting out a generic canned PR statement like, “We will remain friends forever, and please respect our privacy at this time.” Nope. Instead, Leslie Sloane torched that “privacy please” sign and brought out the petty by not-so-subtly accusing Kurt of cheating on Shannen with his agent. And Leslie Sloane named names. So yeah, in the picture above, Shannen Doherty is giving her best “fuck around and find out” face while Kurt’s face is saying, “I found out.”
Shannen and Kurt got married in 2011. Kurt is Shannen’s third husband. She married Ashley Hamilton in October 1993, and they divorced a few months later, in April 1994. In 2000, she married Paris Hilton’s sex tape partner Rick Saloman, but that marriage was annulled after nine months. And sadly, third time’s not a charm for Prue Halliwell. TMZ says that Shannen filed for divorce yesterday in Los Angeles. She states that her marriage has been done since January of this year. There’s no prenup. Shannen is asking for spousal support from Kurt and requesting that the court doesn’t award any to him. They don’t share any children, so there’s not going to be a Brangelina-like train wreck custody fight, but it sounds like things are still all kinds of messy.
Disciples of The Church of Petty are bowing down to Shannen and her rep Leslie Sloane today. Because in Leslie’s statement about Shannen’s split, she put Kurt on blast and pretty much accused him of getting into wandering peen antics with his agent. That agent probably tossed her phone into a garbage disposal after reading this:
“Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted. Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option. You can contact Kurt’s agent, Collier Grimm at PICTUREKID as she is intimately involved.”
Kurt’s ex-wife, Taryn Brand, might be shouting, “What goes around comes around!” from every rooftop today because Taryn previously accused Kurt of cheating on her with Shannen when they were married.
Shannen hasn’t directly said anything about this, but she did post this ~cryptic~ note on Instagram yesterday:
Shannen was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and has been fighting that piece of trash demon ever since. Shannen sued her former management for causing her insurance (through SAG) to be canceled because they missed a payment. During the time that she didn’t have insurance, she wasn’t able to see her doctor, so she didn’t get her routine mammogram until later. Shannen’s lawsuit stated that her doctor would’ve caught her cancer earlier if it wasn’t for her insurance getting canceled. The lawsuit was settled. Kurt filed his own lawsuit against Shannen’s management, claiming that they mismanaged his money and ruined his sex life! Kurt said in his lawsuit that because Shannen was fighting cancer, she couldn’t provide “benefits of marriage.” So Kurt essentially argued that if Shannen’s management made her insurance payment on time, her cancer would’ve been caught earlier, and his marital fuck life may not have taken a hit. That lawsuit was also settled in 2017. But despite Kurt crying about his sex life, Shannen said in 2019 that her cancer fight “solidified” them as a couple.
Sources also tell TMZ that on top of Shannen dealing with this messy divorce, her health isn’t in a great place either.
Fucking around on your wife when she’s fighting cancer is lower than the lowest of lows. But Shannen Doherty got through the cheating ESCANDALO of my childhood (aka Kelly and Dylan doing Brenda wrong on Beverly Hills, 90210), so she will get through this!
