Sarah Ferguson Won’t Be At The Coronation But She Will Attend The Concert The Next Day

Now that King Charles has scrounged up a beautiful roster of reality show judges, like Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, to perform at his coronation after-party concert, it’s being reported that redheaded royal rebel Sarah Ferguson, AKA Original Fergie, has been invited for the concert after being snubbed for the coronation. But she explained why she wasn’t upset over not being invited to King Charles’ senior prom extravaganza.

Many thought Fergie should be at the coronation since her Duke of Disgrace ex-husband Prince Andrew and their daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will be in attendance. But Fergie wasn’t upset at all, so she says. The Independent reports since Fergie is no longer married to Prince Predator; she knows how the game works within the hallowed halls of Buckingham Palace. And she wasn’t surprised at all with the outcome.

The 63-year-old book author confirmed that she wouldn’t be attending the event at Westminster Abbey on 6 May during Thursday’s episode of ITV’sGood Morning Britain. She said she didn’t get an invitation and wasn’t offended about it, as she and Prince Andrew, who is the son of the late Queen Elizabeth II, have been divorced since 1996.

“It’s a state occasion and being divorced, I don’t think you can have it both ways,” she said. “I am divorced, and I’m really loving being divorced to my ex-husband, not from my ex-husband, it’s quite a differentiate.” She went on to say: “You can’t have it both ways. You mustn’t sit on the fence. You’re either in or out, but don’t muck around.”

She also praised the King and his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, who will become Queen at the coronation. “I think that Charles and Camilla are doing an exceptional job at unifying the family,” she said. “And they do.”

Fergie was probably prepared to watch the entire ceremony at home, sipping on bubbly and raising a glass towards the sky to talk shit with Princess Diana like, “You see this shit, Dutch?” But The Sun reports that while Fergie is not wanted at the actual coronation ceremony, she was invited to Chuckfest ’23, the concert taking place the day afterward.

[Fergie] will have a seat on the East Lawn of Windsor Castle 24 hours later.

She will be joined at the bash by other royals believed to include daughters Beatrice, 34, and Eugenie, 33, plus 20,000 lucky ticket holders.

They added: “But she is delighted to be joining the wider family for the Coronation Concert.

“She cherishes those more relaxed times with the family and, contrary to some reports, is fully accepting of the situation.

“She did, of course, join the family for the Sandringham Christmas celebrations, so it’s clear there is no ill will in either direction. Quite the contrary.”

It makes sense that Fergie was invited to the concert since they probably need to fill a bunch of empty seats. And since Fergie is playing the royal game now, I don’t think she’ll yell out, “This one’s for YOU,  Queen Camilla!” when Lionel Richie breaks into  a sultry version of Easy.
