Kylie Jenner Said There Are Misconceptions About Her Insecurities And The Work She’s Had Done To Her Face

While her big sisters Kim and Khloé Kardashian presumably played a huge role in the rise of women having their asses pumped up to the point of them walking around looking like ants from A Bug’s Life with diapers full of spray foam insulation (which many are now paying big bucks to have vacuumed out), Kylie Jenner is probably on the hook for many a plumped pout after she got a bunch of lip filler and then started her own lip kit-heavy makeup company, Kylie Cosmetics. Kylie recently covered an issue of HommeGirls magazine and wants to clarify that despite the misconception that she got a bunch of stuff done to her face because she was super insecure, she’s always thought she was hot shit and does even more so now that she’s a mom and gets to reminisce about her old features as she looks down at her kids’ faces or up at the giant inflatables of their likenesses she commissions for their inappropriately-themed birthday parties.

As a refresher, here’s Kylie before and after *just* lip fillers:

Hollywood Life says 25-year-old Kylie took a few minutes away from rubbing her fat slug lips all over Timothée Chalamet to talk to HommeGirls about how the rumor that she got lip fillers (then removed them, then got them back again) because she was painfully insecure is untrue; she was only a little insecure after one of the first guys she kissed said they were small. Despite that small hiccup in her life-long reign of greatness, she’s always been the confident life of the party.

“I think a big misconception about me is that I’ve had so much surgery on my face and that I was some insecure person, and I really wasn’t! Yeah, I love full lips and wanted full lips, but growing up I was always the most confident person in the room,” Kylie said in her HommeGirls cover story. “I was the girl performing for everyone. I had my one lip insecurity thing, so I got lip filler, and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I don’t regret it. But I always thought I was cute.”

She added that although she’s always been an ever-changing beauty, she loves herself even more now that she’s squirted out two reminders of her old face. And she wants her daughter Stormi to know that even though Stormi has momma’s old kisser, it’s perfect just the way it is.

A lot has changed in Kylie’s life since she launched Kylie Cosmetics at 18 and released those first lip kits in 2015. She’s become a mom to Stormi, 5, and Aire, 1. Being a mother has definitely made her look at beauty in a different way.

“Oh, it’s changed so much. It’s made me love myself more,” she continued. “I see my features in my daughter and my son now, but you know, my daughter looks like me. I get to see my beauty in her, and it’s made me love myself more for sure. Beauty is always changing for me.”

Kylie probably has a lot of makeup tips for her daughter, but she has one important piece of beauty advice for Stormi: “That she’s perfect the way that she is. Be confident, always be confident in yourself.”

Here are a few more shots from the Kylie issue of HommeGirls, where she also talks about her grueling daily grind:

It’s a shame that members of the Koven have never been insecure about the shit that comes out of their lips or the amount of damage they do to the environment or society in general, but if we read between the lines, Kylie has actually bestowed upon us a valuable lesson here. If you want to be absolutely smitten with your dead-eyed self, all you need is to be born into generational wealth bolstered by your older sister’s banal-ass mom-peddled sex tape; kiss someone who comments on your lil’ lips, start a business that preys upon the insecurities of others, and then lie about being a billionaire. Et Voilà! It’s basically a modern-day The Princess and the Frog.
