Jamie Foxx Was Hospitalized With A “Medical Complication” And Is Now Recovering

After a sudden medical emergency on the Atlanta set of his new movie Back In Action (aka Cameron Diaz’s comeback movie), Jamie Foxx was taken to the hospital, where he’s recovering. That leaves him out of action for the time being. It’s currently unknown what the complication was, but it was serious enough for his family to pull up to the hospital in case things took a turn for the worse.

Jamie’s daughter Corinne Foxx gave an update on Instagram of her dad’s current condition with the following statement: “From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”

Here’s her post:

According to TMZ, there’s complete uncertainty on what’s wrong with Jamie or how soon he’ll be back on set to continue filming Back In Action:

At this time, it’s unclear exactly how Jamie came to discover the still unspecified complication, or if he was experiencing symptoms that prompted him to get checked out.

We do, however, know Jamie’s been working in Atlanta on a film called “Back in Action” with costars Glenn Close and Cameron Diaz.

It’s unclear how long Jamie will need to remain in the hospital, or if and when he’ll be able to return to working on the movie.

The Daily Mail says that Jamie was on set as recently as Monday.

It was just last month when it was reported that Jamie Foxx had a “meltdown” on the set of Back in Action and fired an executive producer, two directors, and most importantly, his driver! The drama on set reportedly made Cameron Diaz decide she’s going back into movie retirement once filming finishes. Well, now with Jamie’s medical emergency, we can guarantee that we’ll probably never see Cameron Diaz’s face on a movie screen after this. Hell, at this point, she’d probably rather go back into modeling/accidental drug trafficking than go back into movie-making!
