Drake Bell Has Been Declared “Missing And Endangered” By Daytona Beach Police (UPDATE)

UPDATE: And one second after I hit publish on this post, I got the alert that Drake Bell has been found safe, and he’s talking to the cops. But still, no reason has been given as to why police thought he was in danger.

Drake Bell, Nickelodeon child star of the show Drake & Josh turned child predator mess, has gone missing in Daytona Beach, FL, and police have reason to believe he’s in danger. This morning, the Daytona Beach Police Department asked the public for help in finding 36-year-old Drake Bell (government name: Jared Drake Bell), who was last seen around a high school last night. Yes, a man who pleaded guilty to child endangerment after being accused of grooming and abusing a 15-year-old girl was seen at a high school last. So, Drake Bell may not be the only one in danger…

The Daytona Beach PD said in a Facebook post that Drake was last seen driving in a new grey BMW at around 9:00 last night by Mainland High School.

Officers are looking for Jared Bell, DOB 06/27/1986.

He should be traveling in a 2022 grey BMW and his last known location is potentially the area of Mainland High School on 4/12/2023 just before 9p.m.

He is considered missing and endangered.

If you know where he is or have any information, please contact Detective Jayson Wallace at 386-671-5207 or wallacejayson@dbpd.us

Here’s the post, which went up after there were rumors online that this news was the product of a hoax and that there’s no need to put Drake Bell’s face on a milk carton. But Daytona Beach PD confirmed that he really is missing.

Drake’s brother, Robert Bell, talked to The Daily Beast about this but didn’t give any details as to why the police believe he’s “endangered,” only saying, “We’re just waiting to figure out what is going on.” TMZ adds that yesterday, Drake was at SeaWorld in Orlando, FL, with his young son, who he shares with his estranged wife Janet Von Schmeling.

Drake got famous as a kid thanks to his starring roles on Nickelodeon’s The Amanda Show and Drake & Josh. But in recent years, he’s been known more for his dates with a pair of handcuffs. Drake has been convicted of DUIs in 2010 and 2016. In 2020, Drake’s ex-girlfriend Melissa Lingafelt accused him of abusing her during their three-year relationship in the late-2000s. And as I mentioned above, Drake was arrested in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2021 after he was accused of sending “inappropriate” sexual messages online to a 15-year-old girl in 2017.  It was later reported that the victim told police that Drake Bell began grooming her when she was just 12 years old and sexually assaulted her when she was 15. Drake pled guilty to child endangerment and was sentenced to only 200 hours of community service and two years of community service, which he just completed. Also, last year, the paps took pictures of Drake huffing balloons in his car while his young son was in the backseat.

And Daytona Beach Police might add in their missing post that there’s a chance Drake will be wearing a sombrero and will only answer to the name of his Spanish-singing alter ego Drake Campana.
