Open Post: Hosted By Two Long-Distance Dog Best Friends Adorably FaceTiming

First, there was Chew supporting Gue through her acupuncture sessions; then there was Maggie and her trusty garden statue; now, Rollo and Sadie have entered the loyal dog-friend chat! The two are best friends who used to live together but now live hours apart. They do have occasional visits but often catch up via FaceTime, and one of their recent calls has gone viral for its roller coaster of emotions.
The New York Post says the shepherd mixes forged a strong bond when they and their moms moved in together during the pandemic. But Rollo and his mom eventually moved three hours away, leaving the two missing each others’ butt smells. A TikTok of the two’s emotion-filled interaction has racked up over 22 million views since it was posted on April 1.
The TikTok page @rolloandsadie posted the tear-jerking interaction between Rollo, a Rottweiler/Shepherd mix, catching up with his now distant best bud Sadie, a Huskie/Shepherd mix.
Rollo couldn’t believe his eyes after seeing Sadie on camera as he whined in a mixture of happiness, confusion, and disbelief.
After Rollo said his piece, Sadie let out a long-operatic howl, seemingly expressing the same feeling.
The bond between the two bundles of love was on clear display and could not be contained by either of them, as their owners laughed in shock at their interaction.
Here’s their sweet call, which is probably more emotionally fulfilling than many of our superficial obligatory catch-ups:

The comments section was a chorus of “awwws” and people evaluating the quality of their own human friendships.
“Tell me why these two dogs are better at expressing emotions & listening to each other than most humans,” One user excellently asked.
“First dog: ‘I miss you so bad’ Second dog: ‘NOBODY KNOWS WHAT PAIN REALLY ISSSSSSSS,’” another TikTok user wrote.
“They’re really good listeners. I like how they take turns sharing their feelings,” one user wrote about their conversation skills.
But their calls aren’t always so innocent. Sometimes Rollo’s just a dog tryin’ to get a bone:

Rollo and Sadie would definitely successfully execute a trust fall! Hopefully, their longing doesn’t cause either of them to pull a “reckless dog driver of Texas” incident while sneaking out for an in-person visit!
