Seth Rogen Responds To Kanye West Saying The “21 Jump Street” Movie Cured His Antisemitism While Jonah Hill Won’t Talk About It

After running his antisemitic mouth and fangirling for Nazis a few months back, Kanye West was staying relatively quiet for a while…too quiet. So obviously, when it was time for him to break his silence (not that anyone wanted him to), he, of course, had to do it in the most Kanye way possible by letting us know he got the hate out of his heart… after watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street? That’s like if Greta Thunberg binged Keeping Up With The Kardashians and was like, “I like plastic again.” You know what they say, “art inspires.” Jonah practically ran from the pap when he was asked by TMZ what he thought of Kanye’s remarks and drove outta there as fast as he could without saying a word. And when his bud Seth Rogen was asked to share his thoughts on the whole thing, he could barely form a sentence while dying laughing at the mere mention of it all.
Here’s a quick recap of what Kanye said exactly:
“Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street made me like Jewish people again.” He continued, “No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus is Jew. Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.”
And here’s Jonah Hill not wanting anything to do with that question. Jonah Hill’s girlfriend Olivia Miller is reportedly pregnant, so Jonah will be dealing with a crying baby soon and doesn’t have time to talk about crying baby Kanye, I guess.
So while talking to CinemaBlend about the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie, Seth was asked for his thoughts on Kanye’s cure for hating Jews. Seth wasn’t in 21 Jump Street, but he is Jewish, so the topic of Kanye liking Jewish people again was brought up to him. And he’s clearly entertained by it all. According to Uproxx:
Rogen was promoting the forthcoming The Super Mario Bros. Movie with CinemaBlend when he was asked about Hill and 21 Jump Street magically making West “like Jewish people again,” which, to be clear, is not a viable approach against antisemitism. Rogen roared his distinctive laugh before saying, “You know what? [Hill] can have it. Happy to be left out of that one. But you know what? Good! Cured!”
Rogen added, “They should send that movie around the world — let everyone watch it! I wrote some jokes for that movie, so I feel slight ownership.”
Seth’s just relieved it wasn’t his name that came out of Kanye’s mouth and it could’ve easily been him if Kanye would’ve scrolled a bit longer through his Netflix feed. SMH, who would’ve thought that out of all things, 21 Jump Street would The Shape Of Water Kanye’s ass.
