Brad Pitt Unloaded His Hollywood Home Of 30 Years For Nearly $40 Million

Hollywood’s not going to have Brad Pitt to kick around anymore. He’s outta here! Dirt reports that Brad’s bespoke Los Feliz estate has sold to an undisclosed buyer for $39 million and change. Brad’s owned the property for three decades, and it was the childhood home of the six kids he shares(ed?) with Angelina Jolie. Considering that a witch once lived there, I imagine it’s haunted by many memories he’s all too happy to forget. What a fool. If I lived in a house where Elvira once hid in the closet, I’d never leave!

Brad pocket-listed his estate back in January, so if Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were interested in it, we’d have already seen them making love in the driveway. So they are unlikely to be the new owners. According to Dirt:

Though it never appeared on the open market, it was no secret Brad Pitt was looking to unload his longtime compound in L.A.’s celeb-favored Los Feliz neighborhood; it was confirmed in People magazine some months ago that the multi-residence estate was being shopped around to qualified buyers with a price tag of $40 million.

Now, even though records do not yet reflect a change of ownership (and DIRT has not been able to verify the sale), Hollywood gossip juggernaut Entertainment Tonight cites an anonymous source who claims Pitt has sold his whole Los Feliz enchilada for “nearly $40 million.” So the story goes, the motorbike-riding leading man is looking for a smaller place in Los Angeles.

The “Bullet Train” actor bought the first and largest portion of the property in 1994 for $1.7 million from Cassandra Peterson, otherwise known as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. Over the next 15 years he shoveled out another $3.42 million in four separate deals to scoop up four neighboring properties that brought the size of his spread to almost two acres.

I guess after the humiliation of the Oscars, where not one person made a single joke about how handsome he is like they did at the Golden Globes, Brad is getting as far away from Hollywood as he can. All the way to Carmel, the Hollywood of the North (not to be confused with North Hollywood, which is where poor people live). TMZ reports that Brad is planning to move into the historic $40 million “Seaward” estate he purchased last summer. Dirt adds that he also still owns “an oceanside hideaway near Santa Barbara” and 50% of some haunted winery in France. And not the good kind of haunted where Elvira pops out from behind a door and shouts, “Gotcha, I’m gay!
