Cameron Diaz Will Supposedly Re-Retire From Acting After She Finishes Her Movie With Jamie Foxx

Back in 2014, Cameron Diaz announced her early retirement from acting, robbing us of our dreams to witness her in her Meryl Streep era. Then Cameron flip-flopped saying she’s coming out of retirement to star in the Jamie Foxx movie Back In Action. But apparently, things on set have been a little messy, and it’s got Cameron ready to retire from acting again- making her the Tom Brady of the film industry. Way to go, Jamie!

When Netflix calls- you answer. Cause money talks, but Netflix money shouts in your face and shakes you by the shoulders. But despite a fat check, Cameron is ready to ditch acting again and go back to spending time with her kid and becoming a watered down wine mogul. A source close to Cameron told The Daily Mail that the back-to-back 10-hour workdays “Have been a lot on her.”  

“Cameron loves being a mom more than anything in the world.”

While Diaz’s husband, Benji Madden, is supportive of her acting career, her time on set has apparently “been a lot on him.”

“Although she has gotten to see her family while shooting the film, it is just not the same,” the insider claimed.

The source went on to say that Cameron “hates” the “drama and confrontation” that comes with working in Hollywood, and supposedly, there’s been no shortage of it on set since it’s rumored that Jamie Foxx had a full-blown meltdown on the set of Back In Action and has fired an executive producer, two directors, and… his driver? I don’t see how the driver has anything to do with making a movie, but hopefully, his new one will be instrumental to the success of this film.

In regards to Jamie’s tantrum on set that led to him firing an executive producer, two directors and his driver, the insider was mum on specific details.

They did say, however, that they would be ‘incredibly surprised if it caused any tension between Jamie and Cameron.’

‘When you are in a position of authority, sometimes you have to make decisions to let people go who do not share the same vision as you,’ the pal says.

‘Cameron is a businessperson and understands that this is necessary at times and, honestly, Jamie is the only reason that she is doing this film and they are still very close.’

Despite all the mess, Cameron’s been able to remain in Jamie’s good graces, according to Page Six:

However, a source close to Diaz confirmed that the “Shrek” voice actress is on good terms with Foxx and that his reported “meltdown” had nothing to do with her alleged decision to re-retire from acting after this final project.

This actually worked out perfectly in Cameron’s scheme to never work again cause she’ll probably get some much-needed PTO while Jamie finds replacements for all the heads he reportedly axed.
