Taylor Swift Opened Her Eras Tour With A Three-Hour, 44-Song Set List

If you’ve got tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, then you better make sure that you’ve got nothing scheduled the day after your show because you’re going to need to rest after sitting through hours of pre-show traffic, a three-hour show, and more hours of post-show traffic! It’s going to be a whole journey. Taylor Swift is finally back on tour after COVID stopped her from fully realizing the money-earning potential of live performances. Taylor’s return already unwittingly exposed Ticketmaster‘s monopoly over live music and got them under federal attention, but that’s not all–she also puts on a three-hour show for those who got a ticket. Taylor Swift gave her Swifties their money’s worth.

Variety says that Taylor’s Eras tour is scheduled for 52 days and is set to end on August 9, 2023. That’s a lot of dates, but Taylor is making up for lost time. Taylor’s album Lovers never got the tour treatment because the Lovers Tour was canceled in 2020 due to COVID. The Eras Tour opened on Friday night in Glendale, Arizona, I mean, “Swift City,” Arizona. This was Taylor’s first tour since 2018’s Reputation Tour, and Taylor released three albums since even the Lovers Tour never happened–Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights. And she re-recorded Fearless, and Red–so… she had tons of songs out. And she sang them all! Honestly, I’m disappointed in how many songs from this setlist I recognize, but here’s the full 44-song list of Taylor’s Eras Tour spanning her whole discography:

“Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince”
“Cruel Summer”
“The Man”
“You Need to Calm Down”
“Lover”
“The Archer”
“Fearless“
“You Belong With Me”
“Love Story”
“Tis the Damn Season”
“Willow”
“Marjorie”
“Champagne Problems”
“Tolerate It”
“…Ready for It?”
“Delicate”
“Don’t Blame Me”
“Look What You Made Me Do”
“Enchanted”
“22”
“We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”
“I Knew You Were Trouble”
“All Too Well (10-Minute Version)”
“Invisible String”
“Betty”
“The Last Great American Dynasty”
“August”/ “Illicit Affairs”
“My Tears Ricochet”
“Cardigan”
“Style”
“Blank Space”
“Shake It Off”
“Wildest Dreams”
“Bad Blood”
“Mirrorball” (acoustic)
“Tim McGraw” (acoustic)
“Lavender Haze”
“Anti-Hero”
“Midnight Rain”
“Vigilante Shit”
“Bejeweled”
“Karma”

And Taylor was really feeling the moment, as TMZ says that she got emotional talking about how it was the first time she’d been on tour in so long:

Taylor addressed the issue about an hour into her performance, telling the crowd, “Is it just me or do we have a lot of things to catch up on? It’s been a really long time since I’ve been on tour.”

She continued, “I can’t even go into how much I’ve missed you… because there’s no way to verbalize it.”

At another point, Taylor admitted she was “really overwhelmed, and trying to keep it together all night.”

After her shows in Swift City (she performed Friday and Saturday), she hopped on Twitter to post about how amazing it was:

If you didn’t get a ticket, then fear not because the Swifties have posted every damn second of the show on social media. Here’s a compilation of some of those clips, as well as clips of the swim stunt from her show:

And here’s former NFL player and certified Swiftie JJ Watt giving his review of that 3-hour TAYLORGANZA:

Got-damn. If you drop your kids off for the Taylor Swift concert and then go to a movie hoping to make it out in time to catch them, you better go see Avatar 2. Otherwise, you will be sitting in that parking lot for eternity. Hope you still play Wordle!
