Demi Moore Shared A Video Of Bruce Willis And His Family Celebrating His 68th Birthday
Since it was initially announced that Bruce Willis was struggling with aphasia and had to step back from the business, fans and just meddlesome people alike became curious about how he was faring. But it became more apparent that things were pretty serious when his wife, Emma Heming, and his ex-wife, Demi Moore, shared that his diagnosis was updated to frontotemporal dementia. Emma had to then ask for the loud, invasive paparazzi to leave Bruce alone just so he could get from “point A to point B” safely and without distraction, which was sadly a pretty eye-opening look into the disease’s progression. But though Bruce sold his likeness to a deepfake company to be used in perpetuity since leaving the biz, no faking was necessary to see Bruce’s obvious joy in a video Demi posted from his 68th birthday celebration over the weekend.

Later in the day, Emma, Demi, Bruce, and his five daughters went “The Whole Nine Yards” to celebrate Bruce with singing and birthday pie, and Demi captured one of the happy moments and shared it on her Instagram, marking the first time he’s appeared on social media since his diagnosis. via People:
In honor of Willis’ 68th birthday Sunday, ex-wife Demi Moore posted a home video to Instagram featuring the family — including his wife Emma Heming Willis and his kids — singing a hearty rendition of “Happy Birthday” and offering up a dessert with candles.
Willis appeared delighted by the tune, smiling and fist-pumping the air while his family cheered along. He then blew out his birthday candles to enthusiastic hoots and applause, followed by a chorus of “Hip-hip, hooray!”
The video of Sunday’s celebration is the first the family has posted of him since they shared the actor’s frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.
Frontotemporal dementia is an all-encompassing term for a group of brain disorders that threatens the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. This means that parts of these lobes atrophy, and the shrinking of these areas can cause speech issues, emotional problems and changes in personality.
It’s not often that I refer to something as “heartwarming” without sarcasm, but this qualifies:
It’s nice to see that Demi’s working hard to redeem herself by giving us this endearing video after giving us all the ick with her musty shag-carpeted, granny-couched bathroom back in 2020! We’ll never forget but maybe can forgive.
