Tamar Braxton Got Engaged To The Finalist From Her Dating Show “Queens Court”

Apparently, Tamar Braxton was on a Peacock dating show called Queens Court along with reality meanie queen Evelyn Lozada and lotion-named singer Nivea. Honestly, the three of them could have simply had a quick ladies’ night and spared each other the trouble of signing up for this mess, but I guess the check promised to sing “Hallelujah” into their bank accounts so they all went through with it. In any case, Tamar has found “love” with Jeremy “JR” Robinson, and the two of them will be saying their “You’ll Dos” at some point in the near future.

The show no one asked for, hosted by Holly Robinson Peete and her husband Rodney Peete, began streaming just yesterday. So the fact that they’ve already let us know who she selected is a very weird marketing tactic. Because now, what’s the point in watching? Not that we would watch it in the first place, but still. Here’s the trailer.

People report each of the three ladies were tasked with dating twenty-one men all at once to see who they had the most chemistry with, and this isn’t necessarily groundbreaking television. It’s basically Flavor Of Love with worse acting because this shit looks scripted as hell. But still, Tamar and JR (or TayJay as they’ll be nicknamed for their inevitable reality tv spin-off) connected with each other on a deeper level, and part of it was inspired by the unfortunate loss of Tamar’s second oldest sister Traci Braxton last year.

Robinson, who has five kids with four different…women, entered Queens Court in the first episode and he and Braxton bonded over losing loved ones. Braxton’s older sister Traci died in 2022 after battling cancer, and Robinson’s mother died from cancer. Robinson said he saw a hummingbird at his mother’s funeral, and according to Braxton, her sister said she would become a hummingbird when she died.

That’s a sweet story, but regardless of what anyone thinks, there will be a brand new wedding for the Braxton family to celebrate in the coming months because JR popped the question in the season finale.

Braxton went into Queens Court hoping to find love — but learned she actually needed something else.

“I thought that I just needed love. I didn’t…I needed a friend. And you’ve been that for me.”

Robinson wanted to continue being there for Braxton.

“I’m not only willing, I’m ready,” he said. “So much so that I don’t want to be your friend. I don’t want to be your friend. I want to be your husband.”

Robinson then dropped to one knee.

“Tamar, I’m here forever because I don’t see my life without you,” the attorney said. “I love you, Tamar. Tamar, will you marry me?”

Braxton asked Robinson if he was sure. “Absolutely sure,” he replied.

Through tears, Braxton nodded “yes.”

Someone draft up those divorce papers ASAP because this isn’t going to end well. And as for Evelyn, she will also take her second leap over the broom into another man’s bank account with her Queens Court finalist Lavon Lewis. And Nivea? She rejected both of her suitors and chose the single life because the only thing these ladies really should have committed to was the check.
