Law Roach Responds To People Thinking His Retirement From Stylist Is Because Of A Feud With Zendaya

Law Roach has made a career out of dressing people up like animated mannequins for the better part of the last decade. And one of his most beloved creations is the real everywhere all at once, It Girl Zendaya. But recently, Law announced he’s tried of turning dismal ducklings into beautiful swans in expensive garments and decided it was time to “retire.” And some believe his announcement is tied to an incident that took place at the Louis Vuitton show in Paris earlier this month, which potentially caused a huge rift between him and Zendaya. But Law has set the record straight that he and Zendaya will always be BFFs and he also clarified his statements about “retiring” as well.

Many have been speculating that the Louis Vuitton incident, where you can almost hear Zendaya telling him, “You can’t sit with us!” with the point of a finger, is the moment Law decided he was ready to quit that bitch for good! And he gave his two-weeks notice on Instagram, where he claimed the reason he was leaving his position was that he’d grown tired of the politics and shady nature of the fashion industry.

The misery conspiracists of Twitter immediately pointed fingers at a brewing feud taking place between Law and Zendaya. But People reports that Law immediately slapped away at those claims as quickly as possible. In a series of tweets, he basically let everyone know his decision had everything to do with phony folks in the industry, as he has nothing but love for Zendaya.

“So y’all really think I’m breaking up with Z….. we are forever!” he began in a series of pointed tweets. “She’s my little sister and it’s real love not the fake industry love.”

He ended with a GIF from The Color Purple movie that shows sisters [Nettie] and Celie promising one another, “Me & u must neva part”

“Literally me and Zendaya…,” added Roach.

Law also spoke briefly with Vogue, confirming that his claims about “retirement” were taken out of context. During his first runway walk for Boss in Miami, he was asked about his cryptic Instagram post. And since he was already swinging around his most pristine Cher wig, he decided it was time to let everyone know he was only “retiring” from one aspect of styling.

“I’m not saying I’m retiring from fashion. I love fashion. I love the businesses, and I love being creative. What I’m retiring from is the celebrity styling part of it: the being in service and at service of other people. That’s what I’m retiring from, yeah.”

And he added that his retirement is not a stunt:

“Yeah, it’s been overwhelming the amount of love. Because I also work and live in a bubble, in which my clients are my priority, more so than my own health and happiness. And, in my mind, you know, I was doing this [making his statement of retirement] just to relieve some pressure for myself, right? I was riding in the car and I made a decision. I said: “You know what, I’ve done everything I wanted to do in this career. I’ve received all the awards, the accolades, I’ve changed people’s lives…And I just feel like, I’ve had enough, you know? So that Instagram post wasn’t a PR stunt. It was really me giving myself the grace to say: It’s okay. You can do something else.”

I can see him now retiring and un-retiring like the fashion world’s version of Tom Brady. Because with the number of hot messes running around Hollywood looking like they got their hair from the corner store and their clothes from Dollar Tree, Law’s phone will be ringing off the hook again in no time.
