Lady Gaga Is Being Sued For Reward Money By The Woman Who Returned Her Stolen Dogs To Police
Audacity comes in many forms, and today, audacity comes in the form of a woman named Jennifer McBride suing Lady Gaga for the $500,000 reward she offered up for the return of her dogs in the dognapping incident that left her dog walker shot and almost dying. Jennifer returned the dogs to the police, which ultimately led to the arrest of five people, including Jennifer herself. Now, she thinks she can still get that $500,000, and I guess some INSANE lawyer decided to help her file a lawsuit against Gaga for the money. Maybe Jennifer filed it herself? Unclear, but the only court this belongs in is Clown Court because this is some clownery of the highest degree.
After Jennifer returned Gaga’s stolen French Bulldogs, Koji and Gusta, the police were able to locate the perpetrators of the crime. A man pled no contest to attempted murder and was sentenced to 21 years in jail. Jennifer was also charged in connection with the crime, as she was connected to the people involved. via TMZ:
Here’s the thing… McBride was charged in connection to the theft with receiving stolen property and being an accessory to the crime after the fact.
As for her relation to the criminals, she was allegedly dating the father of one of the men responsible for assaulting Gaga’s dog walker.
She later pled no contest to one count of receiving stolen property and got 2 years probation.
And now this trick thinks she can sue Gaga for allegedly not paying out on the promised $500,000 that was offered as a reward. But I think any rational person would understand the people who committed the crime would be ineligible to collect any reward money. But “rational” is clearly not in Jennifer’s vocabulary!
Jennifer McBride says Gaga made it very clear, she’d pay the $500k “no questions asked” when she announced the reward back in February 2021 after her dogs Koji and Gustav were stolen from her dog walker at gunpoint…
Not only does McBride want the $500,000… she wants the court to triple the damages to $1.5 million for allegedly posting the misleading reward.
The District Attorney’s office adds that Jennifer knew the dogs were stolen and that she’s still on probation.
L.A. County Deputy District Attorney, Michele Hanisee, tells TMZ McBride was MORE than aware the pups were stolen when she returned them in hopes of obtaining the reward, and had known the men involved in the shooting for years.
What’s more, Hanisee says she believes McBride and co. thought they could get her involved undetected because she was a white woman. She also points out McBride is still on probation, and if Gaga suffered any sort of financial loss, the people could seek financial restitution from McBride.
Welp, if someone involved with the attempted murder of a human and the kidnapping of dogs is allowed to sue people, then I think it’s only fair for the dogs themselves to be able to sue Jennifer. Koji and Gustav need to file a countersuit for false imprisonment and pain and suffering.
