Pink Now Claims That Christina Aguilera Wanted To Fight Her On The Set Of The Lady Marmalade Video
The year is 2023, and we’re still talking about the behind-the-scenes messes on the making of 2001’s Lady Marmalade remake starring Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil’ Kim, and Missy Elliot. Mya was also there. While the video looked like a pitchy good time in the best little whorehouse in Hollywood, behind the scenes, Pink and Xtina were fighting. While the memory of this stale beef should have been left behind amongst the hazy recollections of butterfly clips and cargo pants, it somehow always comes back when someone’s got an album or circus tour to promote. After slamming people for making assumptions about the famous feud and stirring shit up (a case of pot calling the kettle pink), Pink talked about the feud some more and said Christina wanted to fight her over a chair.
Recently, Pink took part in an interview with Buzzfeed UK to promote her new album Trustfall and to shade be totally honest about her experience with Xtina. Although she didn’t use directly use the Dirrty songstress’s name in the interview, she did go out of her way to make a nice comment about the other performers in the music video, leading people to deduce that she was taking a swipe at Xtina. Pink attacked these internet sleuths by tweeting that she’s too busy being rich and successful to care about the drama. Case closed! She then went onto Chris Wallace’s show Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace and talked about it some more. via Variety:
While social media claimed that Pink shaded Aguilera, Pink told Wallace that she doesn’t necessarily see it that way.
“The shade…where people get it twisted with me is that if you ask me a question I’m going to answer it honestly,” Pink said. “I’m going to tell you my experience of how it happened. That’s not shade, that’s just honesty. I should know better by now that total honesty doesn’t work in this world. People want to hear nice things and want you to clean it all up for them and that’s just not my way.”
Ah, so the problem is that we just can’t handle it when she tells it like it is. I guess being cryptic about “some personalities” creating a fuss on set is total honesty. She continued her “honesty is the best policy” approach by revealing brand new info that Christina wanted to get into it with her because of a chair.
Wallace then asked, “Did [Christina] really want to throw down with you?”
“She did,” Pink said. “She was upset that I was sitting in her chair and was going to shut down the entire production. I didn’t know I was sitting in her chair. I was also homeless at 15. You can’t talk to me any kind of way. You picked the wrong one. But that’s over. It’s an interesting story, but it probably happens every day in every workplace. Some people just don’t get along, and then they figure it out and they realize what’s important and they hug it out and move on.”

I’m imagining Pink choosing to sit in a chair that said, “FOR CHRISTINA AGUILERA’S ASS ONLY!” and then preceded to slam her cheeks on it. I’m surprised Christina didn’t try to throw a punch then and there! So far, Christina has chosen to stay quiet about Pink’s claims which is probably a smart move. Just let Pink look more bitter with every interview. You can also tell that she has never worked in a normal job. You don’t threaten to burn down the office or whine to Andy Cohen every time the person you don’t like mildly annoys you. You just talk mad shit about that person to your coworkers until you somehow get your enemy fired, or you develop a rage ulcer that slowly kills you over time. That’s actually what happens every day in the workplace!
